That is good to know, thanks.

Such a shame the US and UK blus of Sacred Sailors have forced English subs. Always something.

I need to get those....

A friend agreed to lend a Blu-track IB print of a 1950 animated feature. Considering it... one of my favorites.

There's also a 60s animated feature that someone has a rare print of. It features a wooden kid in outer space. Debating.

Cartoon Animals going out tomorrow to scan... and will follow with Villians. Dave was dubbing On Holds all day- and I'm off to buy more Blu-ray burners tomorrow to get the dubbing stations even more fortified...

Are animation fans able to purchase any of that stuff? I never heard of Animation Resources nor 601(c)(3) (Whatever that is!).

I'm not sure if you get the packs retroactively, but I believe anybody can join.

Have confirmed that the 1950 feature can make it here within the month, and we'll scan right away. Cartoon Animals all dropped off. Both these will be out this year along with the second batch of things. We'll announce it later today most likely.

A 501(c)(3) is an educational non-profit like a museum, library, or in our case digital archive. Dues may be tax deductible as a charitable donation. We aren't an entertainment venue, we are educational. So all of our Reference Packs include articles with historical information and context for how artists can study and learn from the material. Our Reference Packs are only available in a two month window, and then a new Reference Pack takes its place. We do re-run material from past Reference Packs in each one as a bonus, so everything comes back around eventually. To date, we have produced over 35 curated collections, each one with an e-book and up to an hour of rare films. It's primarily targeted to artists, but historians will find useful reference as well. If you look at the About Us section of our website, you'll find info on what we do.

I'll ask again... Have any International customers received their Popeye pre-order? I have seven other titles pre-ordered and would like to order more stuff from the Thunderbean site but I can't justify it if I'll have to hound Steve repeatedly for months and months to get my order. I feel like I'm on a blacklist or something.

I have not received my Popeye yet either. Steve emailed me in August assuring me he would send it out, but nothing. I sent an email last week to swat_thefly and have heard nothing back. Like you, I'd like to order more from the site, but it's hard to justify when you don't get what you order without nagging. And I ordered Gulliver's Travels from Thunderbean's Amazon storefront earlier in the year and was disappointed to receive a BD-R, when it was supposed to be a pressed disc.

I'm behind in emails right now, having spent weeks trying to finish Arnie's Puppetoons set. Still working on it at least another day.I'll try to return the last period's emails tomorrow.

Please write if you're missing Popeye. I've gotten all sorts of emails saying the ones from Canada are not received. Tomorrow I'm resending all the Canada orders (12) in hopes this fixes any problems. I also got one back from the Uk and one from Norway, and will resend them.

Guilliver was pressed and ran through 3 1k discs. It's a BDR until we can afford to re-replicate. We hope to sooner than later, and are happy to replace it free if you 'd like.

I have not received my Popeye disc either. I am located in Brooklyn, nothing to do with international shipping. I agree with the other posters here; I really like the Thunderbean discs, and want to order more, but I really don't like to have to send endless emails nagging in order to get a disc. At this point I am ready to just order them when they appear on Amazon, when I know I will get them quickly and efficiently.

Just fyi, just to chime in on international shipping woes:

I ordered something internationally (from the UK) back in early September and it has been shipped but there are massive delays right now in customs. I am not trying to make excuses for steve but it has been over a month and still no end in sight when i might receive the package from another company. They reached out to me and confirmed the item was shipped but apparently international shipping to and from the US at this time is a disaster. So even if steve sends a second package, it may get stuck with the first one. Not saying he shouldnt try to send another one, and i know this doesnt help anyone who bought popeye within the US. But it might be awhile for our friends across the pond before they get any of our stuff

This is David from the thunderbeanshop.com site. I reply to every ticket within a day of receiving it. I don't see any open tickets that I haven't replied to, can you reach out to me directly and let's see what's going on here.

Dave has been doing a good job replying to tickets, and I'm trying to catch up with the last of the things to ship on my end this weekend. We're attempting to have everything running efficiently. The Amazons orders are sent from the same place, and with the help tickets we're able to print and track them better than through the many emails that come every day, some about orders and many more inquiries for other things.

Billydillydilly- please write today and we'll get right back to you. I want to make sure everything is resolved and sent.

We were using Stamps.com for a little while, and when you send an order that way it goes to Chicago to we resent internationally. More orders haven't made it to their destination that way than I can count, so now we're shipping them all directly. A bunch of Canada rewent today. If you are not a Canada order for Popeye and didn't get it (international or in the states) please write and I'll make sure another is out Monday.

1937 feature will be out soon too! It's a 35mm Technicolor print and the scan is really nice. Increasing dubbing capacity this week as well and trying to get this batch of stuff out together.

On other notes, it was confirmed that the 1950 feature is being sent my way, so we're offering it as a special disc at thunderbeanshop.com. It's a scan of a 1950 Animated feature (one of my favorites) from a blue track IB Technicolor original release print. I had a print like this myself and regret selling it.

I'm sorry to hear that raginhillbilly. I'm also in the UK but my recent experience was different - package arrived in only 9 days. It was shipped on 14th September & arrived through letterbox on 23rd September.
It was posted direct by Thunderbean via USPS which may explain why it got here quickly. Delivered here by Royal Mail.

The value of the package was less than would be subject to import charges, so that might have made a difference.

Also, although this may not be especially relevant -
With regard to those packages from US sellers where the seller has stated on the outer customs form that the monetary value is even quite a lot over the amount where import charges become due:
These generally seem not to be noticed by UK customs and are delivered charge free (not always but usually), as perhaps you have experienced yourself.

No Popeye yet here in Canada, but I'm not concerned. I'm selling a bunch of stuff on eBay right now, and international buyers are getting frustrated by Customs delays in the US and Europe. (Though it's happened a few times that they received the item just a day or two after contacting me.) It's just the way it is now.
