Glad things are getting to where they need to be! I'll be over at the office later today to help Dave and Becky out a bit, and to work on the plan of action for next week. I'm hoping we can get 'the big order' of all those disc out the door. Dave made a great list of 7 of the sets and who gets what- the most organized we've been in terms of getting a bunch of things out the door. Excited for this coming week.

Cartoon Research is about the Winston Sharples musical scores today. Just edited in the 'music only' tracks for sections of the films in the past few days.. there's a few more here as well that are just getting finished....

In times like this, it's difficult to find a balance between taking time to grieve/feel your feelings, and keeping busy. I hope your household is able to find a good balance at this time.

I'm excited at the prospect of a potential Christmas set being in the works. I finally got my Cartoony Christmas and other special sets in the mail this week, so I'm in festive spirits! The discs all look great btw

Honestly it's been a really difficult period for both Mary and myself.

On happier notes, Tommy's beautiful project got a thumbs up officially and will be going out to master-- so look for an announcement from him soon!

We're working on gathering a few more things for the Christmas set, and hopefully move forward soon with it. We'd thought about listing it tonight- but want to wait for a few more pieces to get in place- and to ask to borrow one more thing as well.

More blu-ray burners arrived today to add to the towers; I'm super happy to have a tower with increased capacity. I'm hoping we can get at least 6 of the sets all dubbed this week finally- and sent. We're trying for seven!

I just got together all the films for this year's Christmas special- and hoping for one more thing in 35mm to get scanned elsewhere for the set if it's possible to get it done there.

It's called "Ghosts of Christmas Toons”. This special BDR set features vintage, rare cartoons not available otherwise on Blu-ray, and will be finished and sent near the beginning of December. If we’re lucky, we’ll be able to add an additional few films to the set as well! It's available for one week (until next Saturday).

The set is $15.95 plus $3 postage. Details and ordering at the Thunderbean shop.

Steve, I was just wondering; will it include some of the films which were on "Yuletide Flickers" & "Cartoony Christmas" ?
And if so, roughly how many and how many are there which are only on the new set (ie. "Ghosts Of Christmas Toons") - ?

No- all stuff not on any other set. Some longer films (1/2 hour and 20 minutes) plus some classic animated shorts if we're lucky enough to get them. There's enough for the set here already but possible to get one of my holy grails- a common cartoon but not in 35mm Technicolor....

You know what I wish would be found? The ship that was used in the opening of Gulliver’s Travels. I know Jerry Beck has the Porky Statue from Porky’s Hero Agency, and I always thought when titles did stuff like that, it rocked my world. Imagine finding stop motion or rotoscope history pieces.

I can tell for a fact the ship was a 3D set piece and not a cel. It would be the find of the century! That and personally for me? The stoplight from that one gag in Popeye Meets Ali Baba’s 40 thieves.

Received my Popeye disc this week and Christmas disc ordered. I notice that on the status page on the Thunderbean Shop the "All Censored" disc is listed as "done." Have those been sent yet? I preordered that disc when it appeared a year ago.
