The issues is the Sony player not the discs. Almost every other brand will play it without a problem and even most Sony's starting with PS4 will play it.

I'm not aware of any 4K Players that can't handle it.
My Panasonic blu-ray player won't play 50Hz material. My previous Panasonic player wouldn't either. I own a separate region B Panasonic player from Amazon UK that plays 50Hz fine of course, but US Panasonic players are problematic with 50Hz material.

My 2016 LG UHD TV also sends EDID information that doesn't list 50Hz as supported, even though it can display it if it is forced. As long as the player allows the option to override the EDID and make available all outputs the player supports, my LG TV will display 50Hz fine if sent a 50Hz signal. But if the player hides outputs not supported by the TV's EDID, 50Hz won't even be made available.

So 50Hz is still an issue with lots of US devices.

My girlfriend's folks' cheapo Vizio TV supports 50Hz fine though. And their LG player supports 50Hz. Yet my LG TV doesn't - go figure.

I can only watch 50hz content via my PS4 (...or HTPC) and projector. PS4 converts 50Hz to 60Hz.

.
That why I said almost all others. Some Panasonic will play 50Hz, some will not, but overall Panasonics are a tiny proportion of players. Sony I would guess account for 90% of more of the problem

You may be right.
I never tried to play it in my 4K player (Samsung UBD-M7500), I just assumed because it was an Australian disc it wasn't completely compatible with my player.
I have tried to play discs from other regions hoping I could change the region on my player and make it work like Wynonna Earp, but my 4K player recognizes it as Wynonna Earp but can't play it so I know I need a region free player.

Another disc I have is the Spanish blu ray of Fright Night 2 which is supposed to be for regions A, B & C but it won't play in my Sony player either.

I have no problem with Australian DVD titles like Electra Woman and Dyna Girl - The Complete Series,The Tick (2016) Complete Series, Happy! - Season 1 and other Australian blu ray titles like Blood Drive - Complete Series, Travelers - Season 1, Powers - Season 2 and The Punisher with Dolph Lundgren.

I also can play Agent Carter - Seasons 1 and 2 from the UK and The Demolitionist with Nicole Eggert from Germany on my Sony player.

I bought a cheap ass GPX DVD player from BJ's so I could play my DVDs from the UK & Australia of The Jerk Too with Mark Blankfield, Little Orphan Annie's Christmas, Tintin And The Golden Fleece, Fatty Finn, Ginger Meggs and Asterix & Obelix.

But I still need a region free player so I can play Ocean Girl - Complete Series from Germany, Andy Capp - Complete Series from The UK, Tintin And The Blue Oranges, a couple of region locked Asterix & Obelix movies and as I said before Wynonna Earp - Seasons 1 & 2.

I also wouldn't mind getting Van Helsing -Seasons 2 & 3, Wynonna Earp - Season 3, and The Outpost - Seasons 1 & 2 on blu ray if I could play them.

Not sure what the problem with FN2 is though it looks to be a Resen bootleg so who knows if it's just a bad disc or a Burned disc that you player doesn't like,.

Agent Carter BD are all region free and 24p so should play just like any US disc

Many AUS BD are region free and typical 1080p/24 so no problem. Some EU/UK TV sets like Doctor Who are mostly encoded 1080i/50

AUS TV DVDs are strange -- depending on whether the item was originally EU or US/Japan origination some of them seem to be PAL and some NTSC. Some are Region 4 locked, some of R2/4 or R1/4 dual regions

I'd certainly try the AUS Buck Rogers on the Samsung since all Samsung BD and 4K handle 50hz without a problem and some allow direct 50i playback or 60i conversion depending on what your monitor can handle. It plays on my OPPO and Seiki BDP without changing the region, it plays on my cheap $25 LG 4K player, it will not play on my standalone unmodified Sony BDP or PS3.

Thanks! Ah, looks like some of the 2-part episodes are combined as originally aired prior to syndication. I updated my prior post with the list of episodes. Would love to know which 2-part episodes are combined from Season 1. Well, based on the counts I think I can figure that out. Let me see.

The only listed two-part episodes are:
The Plot to Kill a City
Flight of the War Witch

Thanks! And I just edited my post here from the other day as I received my copy today. Found that the episode breakdown for Season 2 is actually different than what you provided. It's different in a good way though. Rather than Disc 2 having 5 episodes and Disc 3 having 3 episodes it's an even 4/4 split. Disc 2 has 4 episodes and Disc 3 has 4 episodes. So yes, what's showing on the back portion of the cover art is not correct. Going to contact Kino tomorrow to let them know that way they can at least fix the cover art for any new copies they have printed. In my case I'll only ever reference the cover art in the digital realm, so when scanning and working up cover images in Photoshop for my cataloging software I'll just fix the error myself. Fun, fun, fun! I also decided to just number the disc titles (episodes) sequentially as that will work best for my episode guides. From the Blu-ray menus the titles aren't numbered so. Updated episode breakdown per disc provided below.

Well, you should check out Wikipedia, they're listed there. But, for context, it's:

"Awakening" Episodes 1/2
"Planet of the Slave Girls" Episodes 3/4
"Flight of the War Witch" Episodes 23/24 (Season Finale)

It should be noted that the pilot episode is a different version than the movie, with an alternative opening sequence and additional scenes expanded for the television series broadcast.

Default 500 Years into the Future...One Hero...An Entire Universe...Let the Adventure Begin!

I just finished cataloging this release in My Movies and DVD Profiler. In the process I scanned the retail packaging and cover art. Below are the front and back cover images I worked up for use with my cataloging software. Thought I'd share the love. (Versions have been submitted to the Blu-ray.com database.)

And here's what the release looks like in My Movies for Windows Media Center. URL's to the parent profiles I worked up included below as well, the "Overview" of each profile containing an "Episode Guide" which mirrors the episode breakdown per disc of the release.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century: The Complete Collection

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (Feature Film)

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century: Season One

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century: Season Two

And for those that might not have read my edited post a couple back, I did correct the error with the back portion of the cover art for Season 2. Well, I corrected the error in the digital realm anyway. On the actual cover art the first episode of Disc 3 is listed as the last episode of Disc 2. Doh! Nothing a little Photoshop couldn't take care of. Before and after images shown below.

Before:

After:

It was a bit tricky, but I think I pulled it off nicely. You'd be hard pressed to know I had shifted things around. And I did report the cover art error to Kino. Posted in the Kino Lorber thread and Kino Lorber Insider responded. Sounds unlikely they'll need to print another run of these boxsets. As such, I cleaned up my raw scan some. It includes the episode listing correction I made. Anyone that would like to print a copy feel free.

And my apologies, I wasn't planning on making the full scan available. I didn't use a descreen filter prior to reducing the resolution of the scan. I skipped a few other steps I normally follow as well. That being said, I have since gone back and replaced a number of items below the disc specifications on the back portion and spine, items that didn't scan well, so if you downloaded the cover art prior to my latest edit here you might want to download it again. The legal text in particular looks much better now. It doesn't match exactly, but it's pretty close. In any event, enjoy!
