Wait for the Funko-less version down the line. You're paying an extra $25 for literal garbage.

For what it's worth, the first disc, the 1940s cartoons, appear to be unaffected and look mostly beautiful without Photoshop titles.

My set arrived from Amazon today. The box is perfect, not that I care much since I plan to take out the blu ray case and use only that in order to save space on my shelf. I’ll give the Funco toy to a child I know.

I may play a couple episodes now to see how they look.

Good to hear the new-to-disc 1940's shorts were spared, at least.

Bill Hunt posted the title card for Racketeer Rabbit and I don't see any telltale signs of digital monkeying. Gonna wait for the full prognosis on the whole set, though.

I'm asking some friends of mine who are animation experts what they think about the expanded opening rings.

I just watched the first 2 episodes on disc 3, “Bugsy and Mugsy” and “Show Biz Bugs”. Both shorts looked gorgeous, including the titles. I didn’t see anything that wasn’t original. The restoration is top notch.

As mentioned earlier the only option for redeeming the digital code seems to be with VUDU, which is disappointing. I don’t have an account with them and don’t plan to create one. I wish we had the option to add this to our Apple TV account like all the other codes I’ve used up until now.

I also checked out “His Hare Raising Tale” since a poster mentioned they were concerned that the Title or credits may have been messed with. They look perfect and original to me. I took a couple photos of my tv with my phone (forgive the reflections).

Here is a link to original title according a fan site. Looks identical.

The opening part of that short also looks good. I see nothing at that bothers me and I’m pretty picky about things like this.

Looks great! I really want to get this set, but I don't know if I should pay more money and get the current Funko edition, or if I should take the risk and wait for a possible cheaper version

No relations to Humphrey who starred in many of WB’s films?

Yep, same issue.
Originally, it gave me an error message, and then when I tried to redeem it again, it said it was already redeemed.

I'm gonna get in touch with WB if I have to in order to get this resolved...

According to the funko app, the funko in the box is valued at 60 dollars so you can probably get that much back if you resell it.

The telltale signs are the dissolves between the titles. If they're fake, they'll look more like a Windows Movie Maker slideshow than authentic film.

Tell-tale sign is also that the Bugs Bunny opening animation is looped/reversed.

New version:

Low-rez from the titles as filmed here (ancient transfer):

It's going to be really obvious that Bugs doesn't go for a second bite in reversed animation after you've already seen it a dozen times properly on the set.

I couldn’t get the digital code to work. E-mailed WB. Now to wait and see what they say. Also I was looking on Vudu and it doesn’t appear they even have this set, so this may be why the error is happening.

Usually Amazon through UPS ships with cardboard so that's strange.

Me, too. Received error message at Vudu, and then when I tried to redo everything, I was told it was already redeemed.

I think the problem is it is not on Vudu yet. I tried searching for it, and can't find it. I just hope that when it does show up, Vudu remembers that I already redeemed the code.

Anyway, I sampled several cartoons on all three discs and they looked good to me. The only regret is Warner did not include a 3-D version of Lumber Jack-Rabbit. It's a great cartoon, and it would have been nice to finally watch it in 3-D.

I'll sell you mine for thirty. You can make a profit!

And I know people with garages full of Beanie Babies and Cabbage Patch Dolls that will give you similar bargains!

This hasn't been set up yet in Vudu. I think they have disc one set up so far, but not the rest. And there is no redeem path yet (i.e. no bundle redeem pathway).

This has been typical of Vudu, they are really behind when it comes to bundle codes. Usually the UHD ones are available in HD, and so redeem HD until Vudu fixes it. Or they take a few days or a few weeks to add something like this so it works. So might work tomorrow, might work 3 weeks (or 3 months, or 3 years) from now.

Yeah, definitely contact Warner if Vudu burned the code. You might have to provide pictures of the set and code slip, but they will provide a new code. They SHOULD be aware of the problem on Vudu's end. If not be sure to drive the point home.
