Good news at last!

Ghost Xmas, Secret Xmas, Cartoony Xmas showed up today.

To add weirdness to whatever USPS is doing (or not) - I received the tracking update (the only update) after they were delivered.

Here's one new cool thing about the new Cartoon Roots: Otto Messmer release: a blog I've recently written about it for the Cartoon Research site, where I share some archival images and some of my own personal perspectives as the producer. Have a look here.

A great big thanks to everyone who has ordered a copy so far! I'll be back soon with news on a brand new Cartoon Roots project.

Given that I am located in Brooklyn, NY, I guess it's going to take a while longer to get to me.
Wow, I just got an update that my package is now in GRAND RAPIDS, MI, so that makes 2 weeks and it's still hasn't left Michigan. Looks like an arrival before New Years' Day is unlikely at this point...

Dude, I live IN Michigan and it's been 2 weeks of watching this disc not get any closer to me in Detroit.

I've been waiting for a package from DeepDiscount, who are one state over, that was sent out in the beginning of November.

I'm patiently holding out on reporting my ALL CENSORED disc going missing until things settle down. Steven seems pretty certain that all orders have been shipped, so I suspect mine is just one of the stragglers.

I'm confident that if it doesn't appear in the coming weeks that I only have to let Steve know via email and he will come through. Until then I have lots and lots of discs in the pile to catch up on.

Got a little package in the mail today. Around three weeks from the US to Norway is quite good these days.

Specially looking forward to Cartoon Commercials vol. 2 since it probably contains stuff I have never seen before.

Alright, who's excited yet? It's time for the next Cartoon Roots crowdfunding project! We're already off to a great start, but we can only make this a reality if you pitch in...

See you on Kickstarter!

Thanks everyone,
Tommy

Tommy's Dinky Doodle project will be great- I've seen some of the prints from the set; really nice!

On the last day of the year, I managed to get out the last of the ones going out of the country! There's a little stack of things from after Christmas, but other than that we're caught up!

Scans for 1950 and other stuff come back this week- and we're also finishing the master on 'More Stop Motion Marvels'. Rainbow is on deck next and nearly there. Cartoon Animals is all scanned, and a few more Tom and Jerrys and some for 'Cartoon Bad Guys'.

I wanted to be all caught up before putting this up. There's a new 'Special' disc- 'Cartoon Resolutions'- a BD-R with 16 cartoons- and some really cool animated 'daters'. This one will probably be only available in the pre-order- so limited copies.

Sadly, postage isn't free on on this one for those that have ordered before (Christmas postage was a lot).

Steve,
I just ordered Toon Resolutions and pledged to Tommy's kickstarter! I tried emailing you about this but I never got a response so I'll ask it here. For nearly a year I've been helping a friend with a great documentary she's producing on Bill Scott. What started out as a small fanproject is now a big project with never before heard audio interviews and has been endorsed by Bill's family and has tons of archival interviews and help with contemporaries such as Skip Craig, Keith Scott, and Leonard Maltin. I'm wondering if you let us use some of the restored Jay Ward commercials from Cartoon Commercials volume 2. It'd be great to have better copies of those to use in the documentary rather than what's available online. They'd have to be emailed to either Amber or I because we don't have the budget or equipment to do it any other way. Also, is there any on Cartoon Commercials volume 1? That's one of the sets you offered to send over so I'm not entirely sure if they're are any on there or not. It'd be great to use restored copies rather than prints via the internet. We can use either way though!

By the way if any of you have any material such as interviews with Bill Scott or anything else that we could use that we probably don't have, email me.

I'm always the last to know about great releases. lol I don't keep up with this stuff like I use to. Because my disposal income isn't like it use to be because of a senior pet.

I too have had delays with USPS. My package containing Secret Christmas & All Censored Volume 1 ground to a halt re. USPS updates as of 11th December. Then, almost 3 weeks later, on 30th December, at last news - it got to Detroit and since then has left Detroit.
So, it will no doubt get to me in the UK at some point. Hooray!
Incidentally I agree with the points about privitization Steve was making in this thread. We've had 40 years of that here now, in various industries, none of it helpful.

Yes I think so. Amber will message you though because this is entirely her thing. I'm not involved in this project other than just a consultant in her project and helping her reach out to people.

I'm enjoying the heck out of doing finishing touches on 'More Stop Motion Marvels'. In my brain somehow I keep thinking there's not enough 'stuff' on this set, but as I've set up the timeline it clocks in at 2 hours and 11 minutes. I love doing the tweaks near the end and getting everything as good as I can. There's some 'not perfect' stuff on the set that we've tweaked as much as we could, but plenty of beautiful prints too. Once you get all this stuff together you get a better sense of the whole. Working on the final color correction on 'The Lady Said No' and so many others has been really fun. I think I'll have the final timeline done later today....

"Ghost of Christmas Toons" finally delivered here in Brooklyn today. Was a little surprised that there was no Blu Ray case, only a flimsy CD case, which was broken when I opened it, but I have other CD cases here so I am okay with it. Anyway, look forward to watching the films on the disc. Happy New Year's everyone.

Since I did not pre order it, I plan to place an order for "More Stop Motion Marvels" when it appears.

I enjoyed watching Ghosts Of Christmas Cartoons, nicely done. The last one, one of my favorites for Christmas, desperately needs to be scanned from the negative. I hope whichever entity owns it will do so sooner rather than later. Thank you for including it, Steve.

My Christmas Toons disc showed up on NYE. I've never seen Richard Williams' A Christmas Carol before, it's great!

We tried to send as many together as possible. At the end of each day if we'd get as many as possible out in the mail that day-- so we broke things up sometimes, but for the most part sent things together. My bet is that you'll get it in the next few days- but send a ticket anyway so we can track it and tell you when it was sent.
