Liam Neeson is reported to be interested in reprising Qui Gon Jin in Disney+ Obi-Wan series from Lucasfilm.

My entire anticipation leading to this show will be based on whether Lucasfilm is smart enough to bring back both Liam Neeson & Joel Edgerton. Not only would it be big names to add to the cast but it would be a huge missed opportunity for neither to play Qui-Gon or Owen Lars in the modern era.

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt though considering what they've done recently for fan-service like Temuera as Boba, Hamill as young Luke, Ray Park as Maul in SOLO, etc. They seem to be good at bringing back classic cast members.

Disney would be dumb NOT to bring back Neeson.

Clone Wars already brought him back as a voice actor as QGJ to interact with both Obi Wan and Yoda as a Force Ghost/Voice. We know that's canon.

Yoda already mentions him and Obi-Wan name drops him at the end of Sith. That's definitely canon.

Yoda straight up says he has training for Kenobi on Tattoine during his solitude. And since this series takes place during that time, I don't see why we don't interactions with Kenobi and Qui-Gon.

Whether it be as a voice actor, or QGJ in Obi-Wan's force visions/dreams,etc. he'll be back.

Hell, he voice cameo'd in Rise of Skywalker as well.

It would have to be as voice cause Qui-Gon never mastered the ability to be a force ghost. He did tell Yoda what to do sometime when he was alive but he never did the steps himself.

The rationale for bringing him back is pretty obvious and has been discussed already a few pages back. If it turns out he doesn’t return for this, it will most likely come down to practical reasons such other commitments, he may not want to etc, and not down Disney’s being dumb.

If I recall correctly, I heard he wants to be a part of the Obi Wan Kenobi series reprising Qui Gon. It's a waste if you don't even include him!
