i've never thought this needed to be made cause if you think about it they can only do so much with the character even if it's just a limited series since you can't kill pennywise.

i'd rather them go back to The Dark Tower, the idea they had of it being a sequel to the books wasn't a bad one i liked the idea but the rest was just a mess. i have not seen the Amazon Pilot to be fair

Not everything needs a prequel. I do want a Cujo prequel series. Show him as a puppy before all he'll breaks loose.

To be fair, the book has tons of history of Pennywise in Derry so there’s a lot to pull from already.

why there's nothing scary about that and i 100% agree not everything needs a prequel.

especially with IT you have him get killed in the end and with a prequel series you can't kill Pennywise. sure you can show it when he came to earth and the visions in the book can be shown in real time but you can't kill the creature so why bother?

it's kinda like having a prequel to Frankenstein before he creates the creature sure it's important to the story if you follow the book more but as a series itself without the creature who really gives a damn?

Why does It have to die? They would just put him back to sleep.

true but there's other books out there that could use a prequel better hell make one of Roland and his young Ka Tet when he was 12 with Cuthbert and Alain that's one that could easily be made

They are just trying to continue to make money of the IT franchise.

Isnt that Wizard and Glass? Mike Flanagan is currently making a Dark Tower series. Sure they will cover that material.

yes Wizard and Glass thank you it was a great book but not my favorite one, the thing is when they announced the film was gonna be a sequel to the series i thought that's not a bad idea actually and i still like the idea but than we ended up with....

I'm of two minds about it. I think there's definite potential and I'm glad the Muschiettis are involved, but it's so derivative having it focus on another group of kids. Just don't want it to be a rehash of the films.

As long as the kids don’t team up and try to defeat IT, I’ll be okay.

I’m excited for the adult angle this time around. It seems to shift focus to a couple moving into the town and realizing something is wrong with Derry, which hadn’t been explored much previously (outside of the novel).
