Never seen a coach trash his predecessor like Sean Payton has, but he's got a huge ego. It sounds like locker room trash talk.

He apparently took it yesterday. I'm thinking that he's using this little media tour and the NYJ visit yesterday to drive up the price with MIA which is where he lives. Totally fine by me at this point if he signs with MIA, he's a luxury not a necessity...would have been a nice piece at the right price, but hopefully we don't overpay for him.

Paraphrasing, Payton basically said the Broncos were bad last year and guess what…….he’s right

The media is making this a much bigger deal than it should be, no surprise there

For Payton’s sake, the Broncos better have a nice turnaround this season. If they don’t, he’ll never hear the end of it. Fortunately for him, 5-12 is a low bar.

I don't think anyone is disputing the Broncos were bad last year but the way Payton publicly went about trashing Hackett was out of line.
Its kind of a deadtime for press until the season actually starts so the media is definitely filling airtime and milking it but the bottom line is that Payton was in the wrong here.

So weird watching the pregame show between the Jets and Browns on NBC. It's gonna be very strange seeing Aaron Rodgers playing for the Jets.

It seems like every year all the networks that do NFL pre-game shows add another person on set. I don't need to hear from 7-8 people. Most are former players or coaches who like to pretend to line up against each other in their $1,000 dollar suits & ties and show us all to play football.
