He's still got the visual flair from something like Wednesday, it's just the scripts were Smallville level ass.

She's 5'1"...so short, but not quite midget status. It did make her more believable for Wednesday Addams though, since that character was a child and Jenna was 20 when the show was released.

Helena Bonham Carter ruined Burton the way Lina Romay ruined Jess Franco.

I mean, sure they were happy and madly in love, but the films...dear god, the films!

The original film was way before my time, and aside from the Beetlejuice sequel I'm not really excited for any of Burton's work. I saw both Mars Attacks and Sleepy Hollow, but the former was too stupid and the latter was way too dark.

Quit being an ass. I simply prefer to avoid demonic subject matter in my films. I remember reading the original Sleepy Hollow story by Washington Irving in school as a child, and there wasn't anything about deals with Satan in it. Irving wrote that the Horseman was a soldier whose head had been shot off by a cannon ball, so he kept searching every night until he found it. Burton decided to add the Satanic element for whatever reason, and it steered the story in a direction I didn't agree with. He did the same thing for his adaptation of the show Dark Shadows.

Are you sure you read the short or are you aligning it with the cartoon? In the story it is very much implied that the Horseman was Brom.

The story they tell about the Horseman is he raises from the grave and cannot cross covered bridges. That is witching hour stuff as he would be bound.

Burton going back to doing 30’s B-movie stuff again? Sure, I’m for it. Wasn’t crazy for Mars Attacks, but Ed Wood is pure gold.

That's a far cry from a woman making a deal with Satan to give him her soul, in return for controlling the Horseman. I don't agree with that kind of thing at all.
