Dexter: Original Sin (Dexter Morgan's prequel in Miami Metro) - Blu-ray Forum

Filming is set to begin in June 2024 for the prequel featuring a 20-year-old Dexter Morgan starting out at Miami Metro, along with these familiar characters:
Harry Morgan
Debra Morgan
Angel Batista
Maria Laguerta
Vince Masuka
Tom Matthews
Camilla Figg
Laura Moser (flashbacks to Dexter's mother)
But James Doakes will not be in the first season.

And some new characters...
Spencer
Bobby Watt
Tanya Martin
Clark Sanders

Hopefully this isn't as bad as Dexter: New Blood.

This is a monumental task, casting younger versions of so many beloved characters.
It really will be fascinating.
I don't think I've ever seen a show with more entertaining characters, so the fans will really adore this prequel if the casting is done right.
I just hope they cast someone worthy of Dexter, because Michael C. Hall gave that character some very unique wrinkles that will be hard to emulate, and they really need a great actor to pull it off and not just a lookalike.
And the Masuka character has the opportunity to be hilarious, because a younger version of Vince should be even funnier and sillier than the older version.

As far as Masuka is concerned, they need to just put CS Lee in a mullet wig and give him a porn-stache, so we get Masuka in his swinging prime.

I loved the series, one of my favourite TV series (& also liked New Blood), but I don’t fancy a series without Michael C. Hall.

The original series went to shit for the last few seasons. New Blood sucked so bad I couldn't even finish. Not even gonna try with this one.

Surely we didn't watch the same show and that ending was not "the ending we deserved" unless you meant Dexter being consistent in having bad endings.

Harrison killing his own father was definitely a terrible idea for an ending.

The new season was good but was it what the fans wanted in the end? I think fans wanted him to be caught by Batista. But still better than the original final season ending that lead to new blood.

This prequel is not needed at all when we know how Dexter became who he was the final season explained it. Are they going to change the whole shrink helping him become a vigilante story in the prequel?

All this prequel can give us a procedural style episode where we get Dexters earlier kills while working for Miami PD as blood spatter guy.

The original series ending was at least a bit better as he just vanished and started a new life.
