wonderer99 Blu-ray Samurai Member since:Apr 2010	I can't imagine a spoof movie in 2025. But comedy as a genre is dead and buried right now so we need some light hearted movies again. Tired of the "adult" comedies we seemingly only got the last 10 years.

Nielsen was a serious actor for years until Airplane. Even in that he pretty much played the straight man.

I don't know, sometimes a character fits like a glove and Nielsen was unique at doing his thing. I usually see Neeson as a very serious and somber man but he might prove me wrong.

I appreciate movies like Airplane / Naked Gun and hope someone is capable to bring back that type of comedy. I am also tried of those "adult-act-like-kid" films for the past decade (hang-over films, all those comedy with "bad" in the title.)

Indeed. Leslie Neilsen was a serious dramatic actor before moving into comedy. He was scary as hell in Day of the Animals. And of course he was in the classic Forbidden Planet.
