very cool. This should actually be useful unlike the Linux attempt on the PS2. People will be able to download this for free and save it on the PS3 hard drive.

Also the PS3 will support any USB keyboard (not sure about mouse yet) but still it will be much easier to operate with equipment most users already have.

The real question is whether they will make the bluray drive available to be accessed from within the OS. If so there should be some very interesting homebrew software/games available.
