The movie has just finished post-production last I heard and will be going into theaters in May.

A home video release date is set for October or November.

Max, do you think it will be released on Blu-ray, with a 4-movie boxset at the same time?

P.S. is the Spurs game on Sky tonight?

Yes, and yes.

Spurs FTW! I won't be able to watch it though, something more important has come up.

And no, it can't be avoided.

Just finished post production=Spielberg has an edit he's happy with that now goes to final mixing, dubbing, VFX etc.

yes, I'm 100% sure that as things stand right now, there will be an Indy 1-4 box for next Christmas. Paramount invests in it, but Lucasfilm does all the actual work on the discs. If George has to pay for THX's time he'll be pissed

That's going to be awesome. To get the Indiana Jones series this early in the life cycle of Blu-Ray will be a true win.

My god, why am I just getting the feeling that 2008 is going to be one hell of an expensive year (in a good way!!!)...

By the time Indy 4 is released, the Paramount issue won't be an obstacle anyway.

Well, here's to hoping that we get more than just one famous trilogy from Lucasfilm this year.

I'm really disappointed by Paramount's movies on Blu. They didn't put enough effort to make them look like 5-star releases, especially those Mission impossible movies.

I hope they don't screw this release because it is a big one. I'm sure Speilberg will stand up for us and be in charge of the transfer.

Well there was actually talk of getting it out in time for this Xmas, but it couldn't be prepared on that short notice...

Now with Indy coming in around November, it forms the perfect platform for said trilogy, lets hope Lucas isn't pissed off with the authoring guys for leaving it too late last time.

Thumbs up

Man it's only the begining of the year and theres already so mutch to look forward to near the end of the year.A new Indy movie and a new Batman movie on Blu-Ray. And hopefully by the time we reach the end of the year HD DVD will be nothing but a memory? And I'm sure Universal will be joining the Blu-Ray camp soon. They would be dumb if they did not.Well anyways that good news about the 4th Indy film.

I personally don't think Lucas will want to pimp 2 franchises in the same year (prove me wrong please )

He's still got the planned IMAX 3D releases of the OT, and the new CG TV series that's supposed to go in 2009 I think. Unless because 2009 is the 10th anniversary of Episode 1 he'll do the PT then.

I seriously doubt that George Lucas would be the slightest bit upset over paying for THX certification. First off, he founded the THX program, and second, the amount it costs is mere chump change compared to the return.

Don't forget, George is a technical quality fanatic when it comes to anything that he is associated with. Only the highest standards will do. For him, THX certification is considered SOP, not an expensive frill.

Thanks Max.

I'm not actually a Spurs supporter, but being a Forest and Barcelona fan I've always a soft spot for teams that actually play attractive football.
And sorry Americans, I refuse to call it SAWKER!!!

(I have been to WHL once, great game, but unfortnately the wrong result for you; the 4-5 derby a couple of seasons ago)
