Agreed, though my Walmart's overworked, severely underpaid employees still happen to be extremely unhelpful and unfriendly.

+1 here to. its funny how people thinks that businesses owe them. i no they are trying to save money but most of the people that complain no`s what they are going to be up against and they still give them a hard time. when the price shows up higher on the till just ask them if they price match best buy or target or what ever. then putting them threw the ringer. put yourself in there shoes and you will see what they go threw. if you treat them with respect they will treat you with respect. iam not a wally world employee. just trying to help the employees out there trying to make a living.

of course, and some closeups look very nice.
the various scenes in darkness really suffer, however, and the bd really struggles to provide much additional clarity in these scenes. Even if the "real" original film never comes to bd, at least Fox needs to spring for a proper 4k restoration of the OT.
The overall clarity on these OT bds could have been far better imo, and even though it's a definite upgrade, this set is nowhere near as good as it could have been with a better effort imo.
no way SW deserves a 4.0 for pq given the quality I have seen on many other films from the 60's and 70's.
3.0 for pq imo at best.
Fox deserves any criticism it gets after all the effort they put forth for the Alien series.
Star Wars certainly deserved exactly the same effort, and it's apparent to me that didn't happen.

Which could never happen unless ALL the digital tweaks/additions are re-done. So it makes sense why they used the existing masters.

The Alien films didn't have that issue.

got mine at 10am this morning at BB and simply amazing so far!!! what a great job they did on them. so far i watched alot of the bonus disc material, simply amazing again. lots of deleted scenes and interviews, lots of stuff i didnt know, WOW!!

those of you that havent decided to buy it for a few petty things, than your missing an amazing release!! i actually feel bad that you are putting your indifferences before this amazing HD release of one of the greatest movie series and franchises in history of movies.

all i can say is i am super glad i have it and it will be a star wars weekend for me

so far i watched the speeder biker scene in ROTJ, WOW

watched first scene in ROTS, Hoth battle in ESB

now its time to star with movie 1 and work throught till i end in movie 6

got lots of popcorn, water, soda, beer. i am ready!!!!!

Just picked up my set at Best Buy. They had quite a few missing on the front display.

I looked at the PT and OT cases, and I admit, I kinda liked the spines of the PT and OT blu-ray cases with the roman numerials.

Ah well, got all six movies with the extras. I'm set for the weekend.
