Crap. I really wanted the extended versions in one compact package as I only have the the single US editions and they're taking up a lot of space. I'm visiting th UK and came across this set in a shop and nearly bought it. Glad I didn't.

Guess I'll be waiting for the next set and maybe they'll get it right then.

A question:

Amazon.co.uk also seems to be selling the editions that are Target-Exclusive in the US till the start of October:

Now this edition can also be preordered vom amazon.com. And according to a product screenshot the US-Versions seems to include the Extended Editions. See the audio information of the Back-Cover-Screenshot on the amazon.com Product-Page:

So my question is: Did anybody buy the UK-Versions of the individual 2016-Editions and can confirm that the UK-Versions of the first two movies don't include the extended cuts? I know that the new Complete-Box-Set doesn't include them. But how about these new individual releases? Because the US-Versions of the individuals sets seem to include the extended cuts for the first two movies.

I picked up all of the 2016 releases individually from HMV last week.

They're very nice and I much prefer them over the complete set which had the discs in cardboard sleeves.
Much nicer having them in individual cases with slips instead.

But (unfortunately) I can confirm that yet again we in the UK do not get the extended cuts of the first two films on BD

It has been confirmed though that the US versions (currently a Target exclusive and getting a wide release soon) do contain the theatrical and extended versions for the first two.

So if you want to have the extended versions on BD you'll need to import the first two from the US when they get a wide release.
The other six films are the same content wise in the US and UK as far as I know.

UPDATE :-

I checked out The Philosopher's Stone disc last night and definitely no extended cut on the UK disc. The additional footage is on the disc though - but it's presented in the form of 7 deleted scenes which can only be viewed separately.

You can also see here on the back of the US edition that the theatrical and extended versions are present...

Can't remember specifically, but it was some crazy price. I ended up picking up two copies in the end - Christmas present for the brother!

I picked it up for £35 here a few weeks ago, and then sold the UV code for £23

i got the set from them too,my uv only went for £18 but my old harry potter blu set went for £26..
after seeing the pics of the set im glad i got the hogwarts set for £35

Warner Bros. releases are generally 99.99% region free.

So ignoring packaging, is the Hogwarts set the one to look out for?

You get the extended editions, which are now missing from the new set, the PIP mode which is now missing AND The bonus disc - so everything from the monster set disc-wise but less of the 'souvenirs'?

Is there any disc based content missing from the Hogwarts Set when compared to other releases?

If only it would have an Ultra HD release, I hope they do some nice stand alone editions of these on Ultra HD Blu-ray.

Not happy with that packaging. Cardboard = loose / scuffed discs in my experience.

I'm going to wait until the new individual releases are on a multi-buy offer.

Individual releases from Target. The cover designer is a friend of a friend who posted that on instagram.

Would be so cool if those were steelbooks!
