"A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas" has a lot of popout moments. Basically they spent huge chunks of the film gratuitously sending up 3D techniques so of course that's going to include some "pop out" moments.

Sammy's Turtle Adventure hands down, has the most pop-outs!

Hugo, Tron, Transformers DOM, Avatar, etc, I've seen and have in my collection......they all don't compare to Sammy's.

Next to Sammy's.......Drive Angry has tons as well!

since a couple of members here stated that Madagascar 3 is very comparable to Sammy's.....I ended up buying Madagascar 3 from Amazon.....and see if it compares.

I should receive it next week.

I'm hoping it is the same level like Sammys........so I'll have 2 amazing movies that has TONS of pop-outs.

Yes, Open season is very close to Madagascar 3D wise. Maybe not quite as many actual pop outs. But very strong 3D.

If you want the strongest animated 3D titles, you for sure don't want to pass up Open Season.

Just watched Arthur Christmas tonight, not alot of pop outs, but very nice depth throughout the whole movie. Great movie would definitely recommend it!

Is there more than one? I just have the first one that was released by Sony not long after the start of Blu-ray 3D.

There are three movies only the first being in 3d however. All pretty decent but the first in 3d was amazing!

Oh, okay. Thank you. Well, there is your answer J320. Get the first one in 3D of course.

Too bad the others were not done with the same strong 3D. I wonder why not? I guess maybe they didn't realize 3D would be coming to Blu-ray at the time they were made. Maybe blu-ray wasn't even around at all when they were made, lol. I don't know. I didn't start really getting into animated movies that much until they started coming in 3D. Glad I did because they have some great stories. Now they have become pretty much my favorites. Meet The Robinsons was the first 3D one I saw in the theater.

Thanks, I should have been able to figure that out, but I wanted to make sure I had not missed anything. I will order the first one.
My boys are 8 and 11. Any other must haves? I get Madagascar 3 tomorrow.

It's amazing.

Too bad it's not region-free for us Europeans. Any chances of an import that will work in Region 2?

Also, are any of these worth getting?

I got Step Up, Coraline, Legend of the Guardians, The Polar Express and Yogi Bear.

I'm considering Piranha 3D? Or The Hole 3D?

Step up 3d has some of the best 3d as far as live action goes, and polar express is also a must have for Christmas time. Also legend of guardians I have heard is great. So it looks like you did good! Yogi has great 3d also

I'd say Despicable Me if you don't have that. Remains one of my favorites. There is mixed opinion about the story. But I like it and the 3D is strong. Rio Ice Age. Tangled. You can't go wrong with anything DreamWorks, especially the ones that were originally made for 3D. I've not yet seen the ones that have been redone in 3D so can't really comment on those. Most of the animated stuff is great really. And of course there is Transformers. The list goes on lol.

I don't know about the region stuff.

I wouldn't bother with Piranha. It is a fun movie, but in my opinion a terrible looking conversion. I saw it in the theater. Some people say they think it looked good though, I don't know why. I can't comment on The Hole, as I've not seen it.

I've not seen all of those on your list. I heard Happy Feet has really strong 3D. I've not seen either of those movies at all, so I don't know if I would like them or not. Drive Angry is a fun silly kind of action movie. I've only seen the 2D version of it. But everyone says the 3D is really strong with lots of pop outs. I'd like to get it one of these days. I didn't like Cats and Dogs. Clash of the Titans is like the universal symbol for terrible conversions lol. I have Step Up, and kind of like it. It has pretty strong 3D. I've not seen The Harry Potters, Yogie Bear, or Sharks. The documentaries usually have very strong 3D though. I'd like to check out Sharks.

The hole has some pretty good 3d although it can be a little to much for young ones. It is fairly thrillerish not so childish! Lol good movie good 3d
