#8. The Cabin in the Woods

846 Points | Votes: 72 | Peak: 1 (2 Times)

Directed by Drew Goddard
Starring: Kristen Connolly, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams

Rotten Tomatoes: 92% | iMDb: 7.2 | Watch Trailer

"The Cabin in the Woods is an astonishing meta-feat, capable of being funny, strange,
and scary -- frequently all at the same time.
" - RottenTomatoes

"The film has its share of gruesome, horrifying stuff, but it balances itself out nicely
with its comedy. It's a fun thrill ride of a film, with enough unexpected twists to
make it stand above most other mundane horror flicks.
" - Al_The_Strange

btw Mark, where do you find these awesome posters? This is my first time seeing most of them, and I remember thinking the same thing last year too.

Mark, thanks for doing this.

Some people think all you have going on in your life is tallying the results.

Thanks everyone!

Some of the posters I find throughout the year and save them, a lot of them are fan made posters from various places. Some are just alternate ones that didn't get used as much.

And #7 will be ready in just a couple minutes...

#7. Silver Linings Playbook

869 Points | Votes: 58 | Peak: 1 (8 Times)

Directed by David O. Russell
Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro

Rotten Tomatoes: 92% | iMDb: 8.0 | Watch Trailer

"Silver Linings Playbook walks a tricky thematic tightrope, but David O. Russell's sensitive
direction and some sharp work from a talented cast gives it true balance.
" - RottenTomatoes

"David O Russell's play on the typical rom-com is an easy one to dismiss because of its conventional setting, but in the end,
the film has a lot more going on than just that, it often has a slightly grizzlier sense of humour
and has some darker tones to play, along with some great acting.

Great movie. Had it #2 on my list. And again with the poster. And I expect Looper next. Leaving Argo, Django, Avengers, TDKR, and Skyfall as our top 5.

Sorry, but even If I appreciate the effort it takes in tallying the results, the way people do the results on those lists I find borderline offensive (even though reading the results would definitely interest me).

So many threads like this spreading out results for the sake of ... what?
In my eyes, it's pure ego stroking.

Before I would make it personal (it was a general observation in my previous post), I went back on -your- posts.

Case in point (didn't have to go too far) with the "results for top 25 TV shows of all time" you did in last 2012 (November 27th).

It took you something like -SEVENTEEN DAYS- to post the results drop by drop.

Again, Ego stroking, and I call it like I see it. Sorry if it offends you.

I have said my piece, and will now leave this thread alone for you to enjoy your following.
