Warner 4 Film Favorites

Similar to their DVD line, Warner Brothers will be releasing a "4-Film Favorites" line on Blu-ray. The first wave is currently a Best Buy exclusive, and has an official release date of 5/28/13 (though it may be available right now at some stores).

All movies come with the original discs found in individual releases. They're housed in a standard-size Blu-ray case with stacked disc hubs (2 hubs for 4 discs) and includes a slipcover.

[Show spoiler]The first batch has had several issues. LW 1 and 2 were the old 2006 versions, instead of the 2012 discs. To make matters worse, some have received Swordfish on their disc instead of LW2. A second batch was released which included the 2012 version of LW2, but still has the old version of LW. Not sure I like the idea that Blu-Ray is gonna do stack hubs too, and only Batman excites me out of this batch, but I love multi-features, so I approve.

Well I bought it but I'm not opening it yet. I assume ill be able to tell which vrsion it is by watching it but ill wait a bit and see if someone else tests first.

Edit - I guess the easiest way to check would be to see if lweapon one has lossless audio. Anyone?

The packaging says all films have dts hd audio. Ill assume these are the new transfers.

That should do it! The original only had Dolby Digital 5.1. If your player tells you what sound type it's decoding, you're protected - 'cause BB would take it back if the box is lying.

saw these today ,but held off untill new info popped up,,,gonna go and grab the lethal weapon set as well as the Comedy Collection

Just bought the Batman set today for $20. So the Batman Anthology (and individual discs) were so expensive and hard to find for the longest time, and I just picked up the exact same content as the Anthology for 20 dollars. Crazy.

Wish they would have done a Superman one.
