There's no way Lucas could know what your favorite extras are. I'm more confused as to why you would refuse to buy something you otherwise would, simply because the trailers aren't included on the disc. I know you know they're on youtube, and I know you want to see them in HD (for all I know maybe youtube has them in HD), but what are you going to do, watch the trailers every single time you put on a Star Wars movie? That seems like a silly reason not to buy something you otherwise would. They probably aren't going to go down in price much before they go out of print.

On another note, hopefully the next time the OT in released, we will be getting the OOT from Disney, as well!

The decisions they made on extras are indeed puzzling. It seems they did it in such a way to get people to keep previous DVDs and releases.

Thanks guys that was exactly what I was looking for. I just watched The Clone Wars Movie and started watching The Clone Wars. I was just wondering if I should have watched Clone Wars first because I wasn't sure if the events in Clone Wars were the beginning part of The Clone Wars story but now I know they aren't.

Since everyone seems to think they are both good, I'll just pick up Clone Wars anyways.

I may be the only one on the planet that is actually happy the stuff from the DVD was not included in the Blu release. Everything that is on the Blu is brand new stuff and not recycled stuff like most Blu's put on them, and it gives me a reason to keep my Star Wars DVD's as well.

Probably the main reason why I don't buy the Blu of most stuff I have on DVD is because all of the special features are usually just carried over and everything is the same and I think for the most part the Blu-Ray players upconvert feature makes DVD's look pretty good too. If its one of my favorite movies though I will surely buy it on Blu for the full HD picture quality though.

I've never seen any of the 2D Clone Wars but I absolutely LOVE The Clone Wars. I'm eagerly anticipating the Blu-ray release of season 5 (and I really hope the whole Disney thing doesn't mess up a season 5 release ).

I know that the crew is finishing up some work on what was going to be season 6, so we'll get a few episodes out of that. I haven't heard if it's going to get its own separate release or not. Hopefully it'll come out on Blu-ray at some point.

Without spoiling anything for me since I haven't gotten anywhere near to season 5 yet, and I know the show was just recently canned, has anyone heard if the remaining episodes that they didn't air on TV get included on the Blu-Ray release will end the show properly?

Or if any of the Season 6 episodes that they are working on are supposed to end the show properly? I just hate it when something gets canned and the series ends making no sense at all without a real ending.

Or did the show already end properly with what they aired? Because I haven't gotten that far yet lol.

Well they have said they will be making and releasing bonus episodes, which is season 6, in order to put out what they already have and end the show properly on their terms.

How they will release these, we don't currently now yet. That bit haven't been announced.

Well as long as the show gets a proper ending than everybody wins I guess.

I took out that goofy third disc, and put back in the excellent TPM extras disc so I know I have it there.

I'm going to do a collection for myself with custom covers. The first three cases will hold 2 discs and includes the prequel trilogy. The first disc will be the movie on Blu-ray and the second disc will be its dvd counterpart. The next three cases includes the original trilogy in 3-disc cases where the first disc is the movie on Blu-ray, the second disc is the 2004 version on dvd, and finally the third disc includes the 2006 versions of the orignal theatricals on dvd.

For special features I'll use an 8-disc case that will include the 3 discs from the Blu-ray collection, disc 2 from each prequel trilogy dvd, the original trilogy dvd bonus disc ans finally A Musical Journey from Episode III's soundtrack.

I love that disc, I was so impressed the first time I watched it. I think a lot of it was filmed with an early phase digital camera though, which is a shame, as the PQ is very poor... but the content itself is extremely good.

I bought the original trilogy yesterday, I have no interest in the shitty prequels. I wasnt planning to get it but I couldnt pass it up for $29.99. I'd still love to get the De-specialized Editions.

I still can't get over all the hate for the prequels. I love the OTC; I grew up with it. Yeah, the prequels weren't up to par, but they are still entertaining enough. But I do agree with most; that now that Disney has control, it would be nice to get the OTC as seen in theaters on Blu-ray.

+1. I grew up with the OTC too - first film I remember seeing in the cinema was A New Hope (or just plain Star Wars back then of course!). I watched the original and prequel trilogies on blu just recently. Yeah, the prequels arent as good as the original trilogy (what is? ) but I enjoyed them a lot - they get better as they go along of course.

Let's not resurrect this argument, please...it's like the Emperor

In any case I may eventually get the OT only. But yes, I wouldn't mind seeing it in theater again.

I am actually surprised on the price for these. I thought it would have gone up again by now but the price actually seems to be going down. with most movies, you would expect that but with a lot of movies that are this popular, they are cheap for the initial sale and then go up to a set price for a long time(the Planet of the Apes set was like that).

You might want to fix the back of Episode V or VI with regard to the commentary. George Lucas did not direct either one of these.
