Am I the only one thinking that release list looks like a steaming pile? Especially after this year. There are five movies this year that have been on my "can't wait list" since last year. Out of 2009, there isn't a single one that I'm like, I have to see it.

I agree...there are only 4 movies I'd see and only expect 2 of them 2 be good...

likely Wolverine and maybe GI Joe?.....Transformers will be great for action, but the plot will likely be lacking...

the rest of the movies don't interest me at all..

I think it is promising, but nowhere near the caliber of this summer's releases. Plus we have HP6 in November

Exactly. HP6 should be great! HP5 was my least favorite book, and what I did like about it, Firenze teaching and whatnot wasn't really in the 5th movie. I did like the movie and all of them. And will for sure buy the 8pack of awesomeness when it comes out!!! but next will be good. I just can't get past this year's line up. Dark Knight should be awe-inspiring

The A-Team is the only movie that looks like it'll interest me, and this is the first I've heard of it..... it could be TERRIBLE for all I know.

I'm anticipating these movies:

Tekken (live action)
King of fighters (live action)
Street fighter
Dragon ball
Wolverine
Transformer 2
and a lot more

2009 is shaping up to be a much better year than 2008. As for people who think this year is better, What much is there to be exciting about?? there's only a handful of big movies this year:

Dark Knight
Iron Man
Indy 4
Incredible Hulk
Hancock
Mummy 3
Hellboy 2

To me, that's about it. the rest are kids animated film and wierd comedies.

LOL, you're saying the top list is better than the bottom? Video game adaptations and sequels to mediocre originals?

There are a lot of good movies coming up (they look good anyway). I'm not so sure about some of the one's you have listed but here are some that are
interesting:

Brave New World: Ravaged Planet

After super-villains obliterate Chicago in 1976, those Americans fortunate enough to have powers must either work for the US government or go underground. Today, the legendary Patriot leads the rebellious Defiance against his former masters, the sanctioned super-powered operatives known collectively as Delta Prime. When the Primers capture Patriot, his friends must find a way to break into the toughest super-prison ever created-or watch him be executed before the entire world.

Angels and Demons
Angels and Demons was the reclusive author’s third novel after he gave up his job as an English teacher. It tells the story of Langdon’s brush with a shadowy secret society, the Illuminati, and his frantic quest for the world’s most powerful energy source, in the company of a beautiful Italian physicist whose father, a brilliant physicist, has been murdered. Cast and Crew: Tom Hanks, Naomi Watts

Wolverine

Wolverine lives a mutant life, seeks revenge against Victor Creed (who will later become Sabertooth) for the death of his girlfriend, and ultimately ends up going through the mutant Weapon X program.

Playboy - Robert Downey Jr
The Brazilian Job - Mark Wahlberg
Conquistador - Antonio Banderas
Sin City 2
1776 (this might end up an HBO series)
