its a superb release, watched the movie yesterday and enjoyed it much more than when i saw it at the cinema, and watched the extensive extras today, great package and super looking steelbook

that is a real con by play.com, i ordered mine a while ago when it was 17.99 but i'll bet a lot of customers ordered at 22.99, then just a few days after release they drop it back, really bad imo

Price guarantee is when a dvd is pre-ordered let's say at £20 and in the days before release it drops to £18, the order gets automatically (at 90% of the times) to the new low price.

Now, if the dvd is released and on the following day it drops from £20 to £18, Amazon won't refund you anything. They issued a statement last year saying they wont do that anymore.

Can you return the movie and purchase it again with the new lower price?
Or do they have NO RETURN policy?

I see no reason that wouldn't work.

A bit of a hassle though and you'd have to pay for the return postage.

I always sent them an e-mail saying I'm going to return the product and re-purchase the item if they don't give me the difference and they've always given me back the difference.

Items that I had to return, I've always refused the package and they would return the item back to amazon requiring me not to pay for additional postage. Even if you pay for shipping, amazon will reimburse you for the shipping.

edit: oops, i'm talking about amazon, not play.com I don't know what their policy is.

Now i ordered 2 of these when they were £17.99 and 5 at £22.99 then i needed another one and it was back down to £17.99

i phoned play.com yesterday and complained about the price rise just before release then then droping it back down BASTARDS. all they said is the price you pay is the price on the website at the time

.they were willing to let me send them back for a refund then re order them at the lower price what a pain in the ass. i have wrote a letter of complaint asking for them to refund me £25 ........................lets see...................

When I first started using Play in 98 they were this tiny little company based in Jersey CI and they would bend over backwards to help you. 11 years later they are bigger but have lost their way. They dont give a shite about their customers anymore. Gotten to big for their boots, as my mum would say.

Seems to be out of stock now.

I imagine that was why the price went up.
