GiantBomb and Worthplaying previews. There's more out there, overall very positive.

Weh? Isn't the game coming out in June? Why are they releasing the soundtrack before it's even out?

traditional orchestral instruments are being played in very non-traditional ways.
Anybody Watch Requeim for a Dream? They used Violins in a way that they were used to make Cold and Shrill noise instead of the traditional Warmth created by the Instruments, so I've got amazing respect for anybody that tries to do something Different. Clint Mansell is a God.

Although the rest of the Article makes it seem like they mean a different way, Nobody can be sure yet. Right?

Tommorows episode of qore will feature inFamous's music sorta a behind the scenes.

inFamous Music

Video games don’t often feature soundtracks from world-renowned musicians. We look at a unique collaboration on the music of Sucker Punch’s upcoming PS3 exclusive inFamous. Don’t miss these cool tracks matched up with the latest high-def game play of hero (anti-hero?) Cole McGrath in action.

Silent Hill (1) is my only point of reference for games with this type of music without much melody so I'm not sure what to expect. I like what they used in the trailer which is in the Qore clip but I don't know if they'll have an ambient music track or just the world sounds and music in cutscenes.

Pre order bonus from amazon is sweet:

From gamestop is:

Quote:
Reserve inFAMOUS and receive a code that unlocks the GameStop exclusive Gigawatt Blades Power. With electric blades extending from his wrists, a single blow annihilates any foe and transforms Cole's hands into instruments of sheer destruction. Yet still gentle enough to allow for the occasional tickling. Available for online and in-store customers while supplies last.
I prefer the Amazon one....again.

Pre-ordered from GameStop. I prefer their bonus than Amazon's.

Excellent article by the rapidly improving Telegraph games crew...

Come the end of my playtest, I’m reluctant to put the controller down. In just a few short hours, inFamous has shown its stripes with a bewitching blend of exhilarating free-running and spectacular but deceptively tactical combat. Just playing around on Empire’s gigantic climbing-frame is a joy. The key lies in the plot and imaginative mission structure tying it all together. Without giving anything away, early tasks were promising but didn’t completely dispel concerns that threaten every sandbox game. That of missions following a very stringent pattern of 'go here, shoot that’. Enemy types were nicely mixed up, however, including a 'conduit’ reaper, who has his own destructive powers, tearing fissures in the ground to reach Cole. The plot too, was bubbling along nicely in the early stages and there was always the intoxicating feeling that its tale of conspiracy was going to blow wide open. If these hopes are fulfilled and concerns dispelled, then the PS3 will have yet another bright spark in an electrifying 2009 line-up.
Hit the link for the rest of the article, it's really very good.

I'm being told by my distributor this game is now set for a May 27th street date????

Tell me this is wrong because I have my May budget done and this is too big of a game to just "fit in" at the last minute. I could have sworn Sony said it was going to be June and not May.

You might be right. IGN now says May 26th. Crap. I'll be in Las Vegas lol

Like the Gamestop bonus more since I don't bother with Home.

Now wait, I know what you’re thinking…inFamous is NOT delayed, in fact, the guys up at Sucker Punch have been working so hard that the game will be releasing in the U.S. on May 26!

Now with just a little over a month until the game hits shelves, inFamous pre-order goodness begins today. Those who pre-order the game at participating retailers will have a chance to get one of the following:
  • An exclusive ‘Gigawatt Blades’ Super Power: The Gigawatt Blades supercharges Cole’s arm into an instrument of destruction unmatched by any other melee weapon in game. Although very powerful, you’ll still have to use this weapon wisely, as it takes a considerable drain on your powers.
  • Limited-edition inFamous costume for Home Avatar - Look like one of the REAPER gang members.
  • Early access to the official Game Demo. Be one of the first to play inFamous on May 7th.
And, yes, the inFamous demo will be made available to everyone on the PlayStation Network on May 21. We’ve got a lot more surprises on the way the next few weeks, so stay tuned…..
