Dwight, in 2009.
It's not a matter of buying it and hoping it will turn up with a slipcase.
The slip is HMV exclusive. so if you see it on the site as an exclusive, it means you will receive it

Anyone know if the Dawn and Day of the Dead Slipcover pack thingy (the ones with alternative covers) are limited or just the way the release is? If it's the release I'll save my money 'til they (hopefully) drop in price a bit. I've spent most of this month's pay check already!

I bought 'Moon' earlier this month, but there was no slip. To be honest, I don't think I've seen any copies with a slip.

I have seen it with a slip, but I don't think anywhere online still have it (I know for a fact that hmv and amazon don't 'cause I asked them). Your best bet is your local hmv, mine often has slips that online places no longer have.

Having said that, I REALLY want An American Werewolf in London slip and I can't find one anywhere!

I wish somebody would invent a slipcover website where you could just buy the covers. That would be sweet.

HMV in Dublin ONLY has the slipcover edition of American Werewolf!

Dammit! I don't think I could justify getting a ferry all the way to Dublin for a slipcase. Though I'm tempted.

That could be quite profitable. Tricky to actually do though!

Try ASDA? My local had plenty in their 2 for £20 section.

Thanks but my ASDA is rubbish for blu rays. If it's been out for longer than a month, they generally don't have it. I'll keep searching!

I actually managed to hunt An American Werewolf in London down in HMV today, a really good condition shiny edition. One of my top 10 films of all time, so I'm stoked that I managed to find a copy!

I just want some more classic horror released now. Been watching The Howling for a dissertation and I'd love to upgrade that someday.

Plus I got it on offer with a slipcased Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs (saw it at the cinema expecting the worst, actually a funny little film). Surprised it has quite an orangey cover compared to the actual case. Love the embossing, though. Would have gone for Fantastic Mr Fox as well 'cause I love the film, but I thought £22 was a bit steep, even for embossing!

In two minds whether to get the HMV 2012 Steelbook but it's too plain IMO. I collect movies I like that have cool coverart, and while I like disaster movies, I prefer the plain 2012. Will maybe blind buy when it's cheap. I've heard it's not great.

Anyone imported the American boxed Hellboy 2? Has a really nice lenticular cover I'm considering.

I went to Morrisons and it had an orangey case, took it out and saw the one behind was normal colour, it's either the facts it's been left in the light to long (which I doubt as there were other slipcases which hadn't changed, or just a printed issue!

Yeah, I don't mind the orangeyness tbh. The whole film has kind of an orange tinge in places so maybe the cover was done that way on purpose. I don't mind, it still looks cool.

I love boxes, but they're not usually as limited as slipcases (with the exception of Inglourious Basterds). That's why we don't talk about them as much I think.

On that note Play.com are doing some April Fools 1 day only deals and you can get the Godfather boxset and the first 2 seasons of Heroes for £17.99 each. If I could afford it I would!

I haven't got pictures, but it has to be said the Stargate slipcover looks fantastic. Hoping it's going to drop in price a bit, though.

Also the 2012 looks good too. I was going to get the steelbook, but IMO it's too plain. The slipcover artwork is more interesting.

Saw a lenticular Pandorum cover today too but I'm not really interested in the film tbh.
