now this is a movie i wouldn't mind paying $25 for at all...international version of course. the price will only go higher or stay around $20 for awhile like Hero.
shoot...as a matter of fact im gonna go order this right now

Forget how they title it, that's where the confusion comes in. The runtime is what you're looking for. The International Cut has been said to be ~5 hours, right? So what is 288 minutes? 4 hours 48 minutes. Close enough for CBO scoring, eh?

Although I won't bother with the 148 min. version, apparently John Woo cut that version himself for foreign markets (US, UK, etc. ). So it wasn't a hack job assigned to a third party.

i dunno everywhere says 23rd except hidefdigest. they tend to be behind and not up to date on release dates.

No. The subtitles are player generated. I don't see why they'd be any different in the UK release.

Based on this site's reviews, the US version is VC-1 encoded (video score 4.5 stars) while the UK version is AVC (video score 5 stars). They're different reviewers so it's hard to say if there actually is an appreciable difference in the picture quality. Though most people believe AVC tends to be the better codec.

One thing the US version does have over the UK version is more/better supplements.

Im new to shopping on Amazon. I preorder this one about a month and a half ago, and i just got it today. And it was released tuesday. Are you guys getting your shipment before like on the actual day?

My local Fry's has the International Version for $25.99 and they are shrink wrapped! I actually ended up picking up Appaloosa too because it was only $7.99.

i think you have to be a "prime" member or choose the faster shippping to get on release day. im guessing you choose the free or standard shipping, nothing unusual since today is the 27th... only 4 days after the release date.
