Digital Foundry is analysing the E3 trailer and they think Killzone 3 has MLAA!! This will be a huge improvement over QAA they employed last time

KZ2 was an okay game, it had potential but never really delivered, hope the third is epic.

Newbie question but... What's the difference between QAA and MLAA?

QAA tends to not only smooth out edges, but blur the entire picture, making appear to be lower resolution.

MLAA uses colour changes (I believe) to figure out where edges are in the picture and smooths those edges. It can provide up to the equivalent of 16x normal AA. It gives quite a clean look to the image. It does have some issues with subpixel size lines though.

All I can say is that this teaser alone looks amazing. I just loved KZ2 and still need to earn the Platnum for it. Good thing I got the online trophies out of the way when I first got the game. I just need to beat it on Super Hard mode and finish the game without dying. Can't wait for jetpacks!!!!!

That trailer looks amazing. I cannot wait for this game. Hopefully GG will include co-op in this one.
