I guess they can try Play, but their price is higher.

Fox said it is limited to 5000 and if they sold-out at SDCC that would be it.

Obviously what they don't sell should then be made available to retailers.

Still that the UK edition is region free. If it isn't it, it may be time to get a region free player.

Thank the gods Pacific will be released by Warner and all UK Warner titles are region free. It is now at £35.93, but I'm sure it will fall to around 17, just like BoB; hopefully sooner than a year. Guess they don't have Black Friday sales in the UK, so when does the X-mas shopping season start in the UK?

5000 in the US, this does not apply to sets manufactured for international sales. Has there been any word on the number of Egg sets assigned for the UK, France and Germany?

There hasn't been any set number, although part of me thinks that the Egg set is an import anyway, which is why it has sold out so fast; because if you compare that to other Limited Edition Blu-ray sets, then none of them have sold out that fast, and also the price of it is more than double the regular edition. Take the Avatar steelbook for example, that was up for sale right up until the release date, and it was much cheaper and more affordable, and I think that is a clear indication that this has only had 5000 in total produced.

So if anything, I'm glad that the Egg set has sold out, because I was seriously considering getting it, but now I can't and it means I don't hav e to spend as much money.

Luckerly I already pre-ordered the egg from HMV, and im kinda happy that its sold out already as it makes a change that a 'limited edition' is actually limited, unlike most so-called limited editions which are still on sale after years of its release.

Yeah Im also glad it's sold out, good thing I also pre-ordered from HMV. Good to pre-order as they dont take your money until despatch leaving you with plenty of time to organize finances or whatever.

Plus, just think of all the Pure points I'll have by xmas Havnt found anything decent enough to spend mine on yet, except from the Total Film subscription but I dont mind paying £4 a month for that anyway

None of the retailers in the non-US countries advertise this as an import (and I seriously doubt they are, particularly since the discs would require ratings on the discs sold in the UK and Germany) and one can't really compare this to any other title, steelbooks are cheaper to produce by comparison and far more easy to sell compared to a multidisc set with far more extravagant packaging and a higher pricetag. For all we know they could each have been assigned about 50 eggs, give or take.

Anyway, it isn't sold out everywhere yet so there is still time for you to spend your money.

true.
You can officially see imported discs in the UK. Thats why only way to get imports in the UK with Play and Amazon is through marketplace and playtrade.

I see it is up on bol.com as well. Looks like the egg may appear throughout Europe and not just the major countries.

EDIT: I just checked a couple of Swedish retailers and the limited egg will be issued here October 27, both Ginza and CDON have it listed now. Glad I ordered it from the UK as that was cheaper. Discshop has also listed the egg now.
