Picked up the new Studio Canal Rambo II & III 4K remasters on blu for £2 & £3 respectively yesterday, the same price as the old Optimum releases. Misprices I guess, but I wasn't complaining.
![]() The Brighton branch re-opened again this week & they've finally fixed the wonky flooring. Sadly they've made the shop smaller & the new layout is horribly cramped if more than two people are looking at the shelves in the blu-ray section. |

The Bristol Broadmead store is pretty good.
Just traded in the Arrow blu-ray of Argento’s Inferno for £6 credit. Used it straight away for True Detective season 2 (with mint condition slipcover) for £5 and a bargain 50p for The Walk (also with mint slip). Inferno had been on my shelf unwatched for around 3 years so didn’t mind watching it once last night and shifting it for those. |

So happy today. I've been hunting around for the 3D versions of Doctor Strange and Black Panther with the slips on. Finally stumbled across Strange today. Was starting to think I'd never find it.
Made even better for finding That Sinking Feeling which I was also keeping an eye out for. |

I picked up Eureka’s Ninja Trilogy earlier for £12. I’m happy.

Delighted I found the first edition of Napoleon including the book for £20. Price had already gone up to £25 but they never changed the ticket so I got it for 20.

Solid find. ![]() Does anyone know what contributes to the price fluctuations ? I'm assuming stock levels plus some kind of market rate, if so wondering where the market rate comes from? ![]() |

probably case of demand, trade ins and the current events, i've seen a couple games jump in price in the past whenever a sequel has been announced

Indeed. When the Jumanji sequel came out in cinemas, the blu of original film went up by £6 in my local branch. Both John Wicks doubled in price when part 3 came out.
With most of the stock there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the price changes. Sometimes they go up, sometimes they go down. You pays your money, you takes your chances, as they say. ![]() |
