They need to enter your phone number on a separate line as well. If you click the page where it shows how many kicks you get for each dollar spent it details the process. Also mentions the two purchases a week limit there too.

I wish I had known about this.

I bought an iPod at BB on BF. It would have netted me about 2100 SK points, almost another $10 RZ cert.

Of course it was my 3rd purchase that week. If I had known I would have put off one of the other (smaller) transactions until later, or just put one of the transactions on my wife's SK account.

Anyway, I contacted them a few days ago asking where my points were with a pic of my receipt attached. They usually respond in a day or two when I've contacted support and it's been longer than that now and I still haven't heard back. I'm hoping that that's a good sign . . .

I'm relatively new to shopkick. How often are new items available to scan ? Say at Best Buy

It varies by store.

I only do scans at BB and Target.

At BB, it seems that they usually update their scans once a week. Often, there is a scan limit of 1 scan on most of their items, so once you scan them once, you're done for the week.

Sometimes something new pops up during the week and sometimes you can scan an item more than once. For example, they recently had 100 pt scans for 3 WD items and I think you could scan those multiple times. But I think it was because they were inflated bonus scans (100 pts each vs. the normal 10-25 pts).

Target, however, seems to change their scan items continually throughout the week, so you could potentially go in multiple times in the same week and keep getting new things to scan.

Good news for me!

SK support finally got back to me yesterday.

They credited me the 2100 or so points from my iPod purchase this past BF, which happened to be my 3rd purchase for the week (so technically past my 2 transaction limit for the week, which I was not aware of until deltasun posted about that limitation - after I already bought the iPod).

The rep said she didn't know why the kicks didn't automatically apply and added them for me. I'm glad because it was a lot of points.

From now on, now that I know about the 2 transaction limit, I'm going to be very careful to make sure that if I plan on making any larger purchases (>$50, $100, or $150) at BB, the transaction will be within the 2 transaction limit for that week.

I have to say, SK support has usually been very helpful when I've contacted them for help.

Has anyone been experiencing difficulty getting walk-in kicks at Target?

My wife and I have SK accounts on our iPad2 and iPad3.

Ever since Target started providing free wifi access in their stores, we've been getting the walk-in kicks on our iPads.

That worked for a bit, but then when they started having 200 pt bonus walk in kick days I noticed that our newer iPad3 wasn't picking up the walk in kicks anymore, only our iPad2.

However, since around BF even our iPad2 is now no longer registering the walk-in kicks when it used to pick them up pretty easily before.

Has anybody else been experiencing difficulties with walk in's at Target?

Or does anybody know what the problem might be?

It was awesome to finally be able to get walk ins, which I had not been able to do before, but now I'm back to not being able to do them. I hope this is not a permanent thing - I really miss the walk in's! I was finally able to start racking up the SK points at an appreciable rate.

I can still get walk in's at BB only on my iPad2, but only if I go right up to the SK signal emitter.

The first time i went to Target i walked around the whole store 5 times and i never got the kicks. But since then it pops up right inside the door, just walk kinda slowly through the entrance thats what works for me.

I find it better when I refresh my phone and have a strong signal before I walk in, because that happens to me sometimes, especially when the Target, Macy's, ect. is connected to a mall.

Great news! I had a rep from hell, which is the first time I've encountered this excuse for a rep. Anyway, after several emails, she started playing dumb (or maybe it wasn't playing) and I just let it go. I knew I was buying an iPad this week and if she would have pushed my purchase through, the iPad would have been the third thing this week.

Anyway, I got the iPad yesterday and cleared well over 3500 kicks (in addition to my double/double RZ points). It also showed up rather quickly on my SK.

I'm still peeved about losing over 7K kicks from the other $50+ purchases.

Plus they had that promo yesterday that if you redeem at least $5 Target certs, you get another 200 extra kicks on your next walk-in's. I just saw it show up in my User area. So, whenever Target has walk-in's again, I should get an extra 200 kicks.

I redeemed a $10 cert in anticipation of the DKR DigiBook tomorrow.

You have to redeem a cert to obtain the 200 bonus walk-in kicks. You don't have to use that cert right away, just use it before it expires, of course. The 200 bonus walk-in kicks is triggered by the redemption, not the spending.
