They're like thongs for Steelbooks. Duh.

Regular slips are like big bulky burkinis.

To each their own. I just don't like them. They serve no purpose.
Full slips forever.

Stupid release date. Guess I'll have to find somebody here willing to grab me one or keep my Zavvi pre-order.

Not joking.
I really don't give a d*mn about slips.

This is how a steelbook should be presented:
  • No printed info on the back
  • Interior artwork
  • Matte finish (why do people want glossy fingerprint magnets?)
  • NO 3D BLU-RAY DISK!!!
  • No printed blue banner

What's wrong with a 3D disc? Or are you wanting 3D/2D combo discs?

nothing wrong with 3d disks and the combo disks are normally lower quality aren't they.

i agree with all the rest apart for matte finishes. some do require gloss

I'll say this, one thing that I hate is having 3D printed on a steelbook. It's the one thing that made me want Desolation of Smaug from Futureshop over Zavvi.

I agree with the above. I would prefer ALL discs be present (special features discs, 3D discs, etc.). I'm also fine with whatever finish/emboss/deboss makes sense for a given Steelbook.

Essentially, make it a worthwhile release. Show off the art. Make the customer feel proud to own the collector's item.

Including the 3D discs makes sense for every consumer, just not for the retailer.

For consumers who like it, yay!
For consumers who don't, they can sell to consumers who do. Yay!

For the retailer, it's an extra disc expense. Boo!

But we don't care about retailer expenses.

I guess I just find it funny when customers ask for LESS product for the same price.
