Blu-ray Knight

I agree completely, comparing the 2 I find Persona a 9 or 10 for the director, and 7th Seal a 4 or less. Persona is exciting and interesting. The 7th Seal is like a 3 hour boring ass church sermon. It's dull and mundane.
The movie is also spoiled right from the start, and the director gives away the ending minutes into it anyway. That's just movie making DON'T. You're better off reading Tolstoys short story The Death Of Ivan Ilyich, or watching Kurosawa's take (which I haven't yet) in Ikiru because I've had and previously read the book for over a decade before I knew it was made into a movie. The 7th Seal is one of those overrated movies no different than TDK. It's simply overrated, and doesn't deliver anything exceptional it's just an over hyped spectacle of even older ideas done more interestingly and previously if you care to look around. I really like your collection/taste in movies. Last edited by KubrickKurasawa; 09-22-2014 at 05:07 AM. |

Blu-ray Samurai

I got caught up in Black Friday fever the past couple of years, and bought Pacific Rim, G.I Joe 2, Into Darkness, Brave, Monsters University, Despicable Me, and WWZ in 2D
Now I have a 3D projector. Also the Tom Cruise blu-ray collection. No bonus feature discs. |

Dark City - Love the movie but it's the only Blu-Ray in my collection that has a sound problem.
Sunshine - Mine has the pip problem. Still haven't gotten around to requesting a replacement disc. Otherwise, the movie is great. |

The only blu-ray I've ever returned was Bram Stoker's Dracula. I had remembered not really loving it, but thought I'd pick it up on blu-ray to revisit it. The movie was horrible and the picture quality was abysmal. I couldn't get it out of my collection fast enough.
