I really want this in 4k on netflix since it probobly wont come out on 4k discs with hdr..

Maybe if they hadn't filmed it like shit in the first place it wouldn't be so much work to release in HD. There were episodes on the DVD that I could barely tell who was who watching on a 1080p screen, and I sit close to the screen.

I would pay alot to have it on a 4k disc! If not i only hope netflix will release it in 4k because theres no hulu here in scandinavia

I can't wait for this show to come out on Blu. Can't wait for it to be released I don't know about getting a 4K release it might be expensive but then again I thought The Sopranos The Complete Series was going to be expensive when it was released on bluray.

I don't think they will release 4k on Blu, just because they are not aware of the demand and it is also 7 seasons and not just a 1h30m movie. Time will show around Christmas/New Year I suppose

Be happy it's not Paramount. Those clowns take shows that air in HD and refuse to release them on anything but DVD. I can't believe Californication still never got a US BD release.

Has he ever said he was releasing this on Bluray? A DVD is a DVD. So much for getting my hopes up.

Why would they spend a year or more on a 4K conversion to re-release on DVD only? Whatever format they release this 4K conversion to better have a play all option on every disc. I'm still pissed that Sony didn't fix that when they re-pressed the Fox discs. They changed the logos etc for the intros on disc, but they couldn't be bothered to add a Play All option.

Cause Studios are known for short handing the Bluray community. Plus he only mentions DVD in that last tweet.

Been jonsing for a hit of The Shield, so I broke out my old DVDs of this series and on my 70" flatscreen -- dear god -- they look like sh*t. We need this on Blu-ray NOW!

I know. The DVDs look terrible, and there's no "play all" option the first 4 seasons. I refuse to watch them again.

The Shield is always gonna look gritty, no matter the format, given the 16mm stock it was shot on.

There's a difference between "looking gritty" and not even being able to make out faces half the time. Some of the seasons looked way worse than others. I think season 2 was the worst.
