Holland CDENDVD.NL-- great source for European titles !

From experience, I also usually order from a handful of overseas places like zaavi, Amazon, dddhouse and cdendvd.nl

I want to give a shout out to CDENDVD.NL in particular for their customer service. In the past, I placed small orders for region free 3-D Dutch versions of The BFG (De GVR), etc... They are a smaller firm so some obscure titles had to be backordered, but I always received great communication, Paypal is accepted, shipping was cheap and they were always well packaged.

A couple weeks ago, I placed a small order of 3-D titles, of which one was on backorder. A few days later, I placed another order for a 1/2 dozen 3-D animation titles. The rep (and owner) reached out to me on his own, combined the order and refunded me the shipping costs from the 2nd order. And just an FYI, their shipping is a very reasonable 9 Euros. (Compare that to BOL.com's outrageous 29 Euros.) And did I mention they are fluent in English?

If you're looking at European releases and titles (and in particular Dutch region free ones), definitely consider these guys.

Agreed. Have used CDenDVD.NL for several imports like the region free version of The Hole 3D back in 2014 and the region-free T.S. Spivet 3D in 2015. Other purchases were The Little Vampire 3D, The BFG (GVR) 3D, and Alpha and Omega 3D. Never had a delivery problem.

Default Rahul & I eBay site back up

Just got email from Rahul & I with his listings and it appears he is back with no mention of his past issues. Still only 3 negative reviews with no mention of his past disappearance with all the preorder money never returned

Can you tell me if Alpha and Omega 3D will play in Region A players?
I saw it on a dvd years ago, I was not aware it was ever released in 3D

I bought my imported The Last Jedi and Solo 3D Blu-rays from an import seller on Amazon. It seemed easier for me to do that.

I've experienced four versions of the Alpha and Omega 3D title.
I kept the German Region B version because of its dual Layer 3D encoding and English DTS HD MA 5.1 audio.
Experienced poor resolving 3D quality from two separate Alpha and Omega 3D region A purchases from Brazil and I don't remember the region status for the Dutch disc which I no longer have.

For those who have imported outside of UK...what is your best recommendation? I'm importing into the U.S. and until now, had been importing all of the 3D movies from the UK. I have a region free blu-ray player so I'm not concerned about what region. Thanks in advance!

You can import from Hong Kong to the US from the following:

www.dddhouse.com
www.play-asia.com
www.yesasia.com

They all seem to be reliable according to our fellow forum users.

I've only ordered from Play-asia. I haven't had any problems with play-asia.

YMMV

Last edited by dhvsfan; 01-02-2019 at 07:19 PM. Reason: Clarified: sub them with play-asia

@wdaub1. I don’t see Rahuls ebay or website as updated at all. I always ordered them, despite a few hiccups, and India seems to get some releases other places don’t (ie into the spider verse 4k+3D). I was never on their email list, even though I’ve ordered a bunch.....do u have any more info? I would love to order from them again if they are truly back and don’t stiff me!

I've been very happy with the service and prices from JB HI-FI in Australia. They frequently have 20% off sales and BOGO offers on 3D titles.

I placed pre-order for these German releases this morning, anyone know if they will ship separately on release date or all together with the last one to release, never done multiple pre-orders before.

My experience with Amazon.de is that if the release dates are more than a week apart they will ship separately.

I've had good experiences with JBhiFI.

The issues I've had with them are:
1) there shipping cost can be very high though given AUS Post costs that's not really in their control. $8AUS per item and it's difficult to find ways to avoid even with large orders. My first few orders with them, it was $8 for the first item then $2 each added item which made shipping costs pretty reasonable for a 8-10 item order. Because of the costs I rarely order small items from them and tend to only order Boxsets (Doctor Who S12 LE, Hammer Boxset, etc). Also there doesn't seem to be an expedited shipping method -- it's slow post and no tracking though most of my items do show up in 14-21 days and I've never had a lost package.

2) Lately they have essentially AUSSIE locked many sale items. When they've had big sales, many of the very popular titles can't be ordered from outside AUS even to NZ where they actually have JB B&M stores.

3) Their VAT/GST isn't automatically removed for international orders. They will refund it usually if you contact them via email though I;ve often had to send 2-3 email to remind them

Amazon uk has these options for shipping to the US:

Standard Delivery (6-10 business days)
AmazonGlobal Expedited Shipping (5-9 business days)
AmazonGlobal Standard (9-12 business days)
AmazonGlobal Priority (2-4 business days)

Standard delivery doesn't give a tracking number usually and Global Priority always does. I've only used those before. Do either of Global Standard or Global Expedited Shipping give tracking numbers?

I have things I want to buy and don't care when they arrive but I need to know when they do arrive because I'll have to pick them up. Thanks!

Everything I;ve ever ordered AGS or AGE has had a tracking number and has always been i-parcel -- about 10 AGS and 4 AGE orders.

Just did my first AGP order in a while and it went i-parcel as well.

The only option there with no tracking is Standard Delivery. Anything with AmazonGlobal in has tracking and will arrive much quicker than the cheapest standard shipping which takes FOREVER.

Default This item does not ship to the United States

I just tried pre-ordering the 3D versions of Avengers Endgame, Shazam and Captain Marvel and saw this message on the page:
This item does not ship to the United States
Oh, oh. That sucks if it doesn't change. This was on Amazon.UK.
