Yep, two postcards / artcards. There is a video here (3:36):

Cool

As you say, they are more like artcards. I have to admit that I done some Googling because I felt that only two cards was a bit stingy. I thought there would at least be a 3rd one with the new artwork (as well as the poster).

The reason I thought there might be 3 art cards was that on the other side of the insert there are 3 art posters, 2 of the art posters are on the cards, while the other (naked woman looking behind her as a clawed hand is reaching out as if to grab her) was missing.

Anyway it's an outstanding release.

I screened this tonight. Great transfer! Satan's Skin is a better title. What was with that scene that looked like it was from a TV show just before the climax? It looked like an insert.

Clear benefit from the 4K transfer. Old disc still holds up well regardless. I'm still not feeling any incentive to upgrade at the asking price and all my other niggles with this release, the biggest of which is how they treated Stuart Manning. They should have just apologised and gave him a small royalty regardless of accident or intent, end of.

I greatly admire your selfless, moral stance, 'oddbox83' . I noted the injustice too, but went ahead and purchased regardless (I literally have to save up for such things at the moment, but that's no excuse), but it is a top film in my personal favourite sub-genre (that's no excuse either, is it?) I take strong positions on a few things too (which are mostly forbidden topics here) so I will support you in a small way by pointing out clearly here what can be seen readily in that 'Unboxing' video: that Screenbound may have ever-so-slightly altered the slipcase and Amaray cover artwork, but the not-so-original, contentious design remains on the inserts: the front of the booklet, the poster, and the very disc itself. I'm annoyed with myself for not having said something to Screenbound. Has there been any further developments? It's up to Stuart Manning of course but then he wouldnae be the first... no, I'm no' gonnae gang there, here.

Can we who bought this new release of the film, and are perhaps still pleased with ourselves for doing so– still do something constructive, productive to help (Preferably that doesn't involve doing something silly such as collectively piling our new possessions inside of a wicker man)?

This is where I agreed with the 'veteran' HM band, Metallica. Someone works to create an artistic product that people want so that someone deserves to be paid for that creativity.

You lost me completely here,
old one looks like it has a grey haze over it.

Not supporting Screenbound over the artwork issue,
same transfer will be getting another hopefully comparable encode soon from another publisher who has already indicated it's coming.

Because despite being a little softer than the 4K scan and the grading a bit less precise, in isolation it's still a good, if slightly ever so slightly dated transfer. Not like some where you just have to take one look to see loads of room for improvement.

The difference between these 2, the colors, the detail on trees, branches ect
says it all.

I'm not all that evangelical about it - if the old disc had been poor I'd have had this come what may.

I'm sick of endless double dips for marginal upgrades and the other stuff just sours it more, personally. I may think differently if it goes on sale for a fiver or they do a 4K edition. Hell, I wouldn't even have to think twice about that, regardless of what title or cover art it uses.

Does anyone know about the production of this film? I'm curious about the scene that appears to be spliced in after the movie was finished. The fat squire is talking to another guy and has figured out what is going on. The scene appears to have been shot in a TV studio. The lighting and set are completely different than the rest of the film. Did they do test screenings and the audience needed explanation at this point?

You seem to be confusing what I'm saying, I agree the 4K improves in those areas.

Based purely on those caps (not seeing it in motion) I agree.

The 4K is a clear step up, but not one that makes me think they made a complete cock up of the original 2K scan.

I don't think so.
It improves across the board, the remaster is not selectively applied.

You seem to only appreciate it in certain scenes
which I find an odd way of contextualizing.

Has anyone bought this from Zavvi?

If so, what was the packing like that they used to send it?
