I just bought Alphabet City. I've got the first two releases ordered, plan on buying the rest as well. I can't wait to see what else you do.

Its fun being on the ground floor for a new label. Definitely want to keep pace with Fun City releases.

This is the first time I'm able to do so. I like it. And the films themselves so far piqued my interest.

All I could find on it was that a 16mm print was screened a few years ago in Nashville. They advertised it as "arguably superior to other cuts, if only for a priceless extended scene with Spinell and Waterston."

Another MGM title I'd like to see make its way to Blu-Ray is Breaking In - directed by the great Bill Forsyth and featuring maybe Burt Reynolds' best performance.

Love Breaking In. Kino Lorber said the current lack of an HD master is why they haven’t released it. Wonderful script by John Sayles

Don't know if this is up your alley, but Peter Fonda's bizarre science-fiction film Idaho Transfer needs a good release.

It's not as good as his Hired Hand, or similar era SF like Phase IV, but I'd buy it without a second thought on Blu.

Speaking of bizarre 70’s sci fi, I’d love Jim McBride’s Glen and Randa

It was, yes! The only evidence I was able to find of this huge billboard/bus ad campaign was a photo of the billboard in Times Square in Billboard Magazine. I was beginning to write it off as hyperbole, considering all the exaggeration surrounding him, but thanks to Kojak, I know it was true!

THE HIRED HAND is brilliant.

IDAHO TRANSFER has always piqued my interest, though the lack of a decent version has been a deterrent. And, for whatever reason, whenever I think of IDAHO TRANSFER, I also think of GLEN AND RANDA, which I've also not seen. There's probably some connective tissue there...some shared cast and/or crew.

BREAKING IN is excellent, I agree. Been years since I've seen it. Considering KL Insider's very strong affinity for Burt Reynolds, it's always surprised me that they haven't sprung for BREAKING IN.

There's not a ton of stuff that I'm still dying for to be released on Blu-Ray (though in the case of something like Jeremy, which is a movie I love, I'm picking it up because it's just a good movie that makes me happy, but it wasn't one of those burning desire movies). At this point, I think I'm looking for new discoveries of obscure older films that might strike my fancy.

But I have had the rare experience of disliking a movie that I saw in maybe a terrible print, and then had a complete reversal after seeing it on a beautifully restored blu-ray. Case in point- Messiah of Evil, which has been in every crappy public domain collection on disc and on streaming for years. I tried watching it and gave up fairly soon because the prints were so terrible and I was bored. I cannot remember what possessed me to buy the blu ray, but it totally transformed my opinion of the film and I think it's a fantastic piece of work. I also felt similarly (but to a much lesser degree) about Devil Times Five, which I first saw under the same circumstances as Messiah, and then had a total 180 when I saw the blu ray.

I'll be honest- I hated Rancho Deluxe and I didn't finish it, but I saw a terrible, cropped copy on YouTube as it was the only thing available. So I will happily buy the blu-ray release, being a big Frank Perry fan, and maybe I'll still hate it, but I'm sure hoping for another transformative experience!

All that being said- there are a few titles I am still salivating for on blu-ray.

Looking for Mr. Goodbar
Last Summer
Mommie Dearest
The Stepford Wives (if Fun City could get this, I swear you would be my hero. And a great snapshot of NYC at the beginning)
Homebodies (I know Kino announced it, but apparently cannot locate the masters. Ugh. An amazing lost film.)
Touched By Love (sappy, but a great early performance by Diane Lane)
Targets
Over the Edge
Shoot the Moon
Pink Floyd The Wall
Star 80
Parting Glances (The Legacy Project supposedly restored this over a decade ago and was supposed to release it and we're still waiting.)
Working Girls (the Lizzie Borden movie about call girls)
Twin Falls, Idaho

There are others that I want that I'm sure are in the pipeline (such as Desperate Living) but some of the above mentioned have never even seen a DVD release, and at this point I'd settle for a slap and shrinkwrap Kino version.

His commentaries are always fantastic. I hope Men with Guns gets a Blu eventually, too

Targets is getting released by the BFI in the UK in March.

I’m biased, but I think RANCHO DELUXE is sneaky good...much better on second or third viewing. I first saw it on a crummy MGM VHS in the ‘90s when I was devouring the Frank Perry catalog and I thought little of it.

When I revisited it over 20 years later, I just “got it.” Its humor is pretty bone dry and a little mean. It worked a lot better for me in my 40s than it did my 20s. Maybe the same will be true for you. That horrific YouTube rip, which I’ve seen, is really putting the film behind the eight ball. Bill Fraker’s photography of big sky country deserves much better.

Good god, I just watched the most obscure film on YouTube, some '70s piece of dreck called "Have a Nice Weekend." It's supposed to be a murder mystery/quasi-slasher, but I swear to god, it's "The Room" thirty years before "The Room" existed. Horrible in all the right ways.

A cool film you guys could look at is Personal Best. No current release and it feels like a film that would fit your model.
