Sounds like it has that Don't answer the phone style to it. Hoping that June slasher is more of a whodunnit with a group of people being picked off.

I noticed that one of your most wanted titles that you would like to see released on Blu-ray is ROCKTOBER BLOOD.

Before he formed Culture Shock Releasing, one of the owners ran a company called Lo-Fi Video and they put out a limited edition run of ROCKTOBER BLOOD on VHS.

Perhaps one day they will Blu it!

That would be amazing. I thought the films owners were kind of not willing to deal with others to release it.

They aren't. Ferd and Beverly Sebastian don't deal with their films anymore have apparently left all that in the hands of their son--via Panama Films--who sounds like a buffoon. There was a self-produced blu of Rocktober Blood several years ago as an alleged tie-in to the production of a sequel, but the whole thing was top-to-bottom bed-shitting:

https://bandsaboutmovies.com/2020/02...-revenge-2016/

And, there was already precedent for chicanery, given that the earlier DVD's of Gator Bait, etc. were purported to be just VHS rips. If you ever wonder when any of the Sebastian's films will hit blu (they own most of them, as far as I know), just remember that all of that is in the hands of a guy who thinks that remastering and restoring their legacy is a waste of money.

I hope the June slasher isn't just their Goodnight, God Bless or Zipperface DVDs put on a blu-ray, because that would be boring.

It is a never-on-disc slasher.

My mind has gone blank on the names of both, but I remember some discussion in the VS thread a few weeks ago (it's not to do with your hint above) about two slashers (shot on video?) which were still on the way from Culture Shock.

He probably scrapped all their film prints. Too much $ to store that stuff.

Both FATAL GAMES and ICED have issues with missing / quality elements, so a Blu-ray of either one of them is highly unlikely.

It is the same situation with Vinegar Syndrome and CAFE FLESH. They have the rights to it, but again, elements.

Here is a still from an upcoming sleaze-filled SOV title that we just finished editing.

Look for the Blu-ray in the near future!

I do not but I am good friends with one of the owners and I try to relay information to help them out because they are a small, hard working team!

Hopefully they keep going strong. Been impressed with them so far.

Nice to see a few hard to find on VHS titles get releases.

I’m certainly not knocking Culture Shock because I own nearly all of their releases (and them adding HOLLYWOOD’S NEW BLOOD as an extra on SLASHDANCE was amazing), but touting VIDEO MURDERS as a slasher is a bit misleading. I think there’s one kill and it’s completely bloodless. It’s an odd little flick, though, that held my interest.

I hope the June title is a true slasher.

Perhaps slasher adjacent would have been a better way of describing VIDEO MURDERS.
