It just occurred to me that Harrison Ford turned 24 years old during the filming of Grand Prix (1966). He was the right age for Formula 1 in 1966.

They spent north of $300m on this!?

They must think it's going to do Top Gun: Maverick business. (and let's face it, it looks like another Top Gun rehash)

I watched a clip of a dinner scene. Made me think of that Bohemian Rhapsody monstrosity. Like sweaty cheese. It will probably do well.

“All surface excitement” “Never reaches top gear” - these sounds pretty much like what I was expecting…

80% RT isn't bad for a film like this one.

Probably going to be a big crowd pleaser ala Top Gun Maverick.

A lowest critic rating said it's more like a commercial for F1. Sounds good to me as an F1 fan. I want and expect to see a lot of F1 car action onscreen. Another low rating one said it's never dull.

Looking forward to the movie based on the trailers, which look good.

This past weekend, the Indy race 270 laps, had a serious crash, putting the race leader out of the race and his car smashing up badly.

The only option to avoid the crash would be a split second decision to steer right instead of left along the wall, where the green car was heading after spinning out.

As a long time F1 fan, I am excited to see this and glad the reviews are good. I know it's not gonna be "authentic" to the actual sport, but I'm happy, as a fan and I hope that it brings in new fans to the sport.

I completely agree with you! As a fan for almost 25 years, I know this movie isn't made for the hardcore, long-time fans; however, that isn't dampening my excitement. It just looks like a great time and something that will be a blast on the big screen.

Hopefully this does well so we can get a remake of Freejack.

I was an F1 fanatic since the 80’s until the “Masi Travesty” a few years ago killed my love of the sport stone cold dead. Haven’t watched a race since.

Most of the time you steer towards where the car is, generally because it's not still there by the time you arrive. He steered right into the accident. I hate to 2nd guess, but that was a bad error.

I doubt this movie has better acting than James Garner

Your loss. As a fan since 1962, I'll say that the last two years have been a lot of fun. Giving up on the sport because of human error seems a bit much. (and don't forget that Lewis could have gotten fresh tires too...)
