Really hoping to be able to sneak in an order in for the Network HD35 sale. There are some good prices on TV shows I want like:

Just have to remember to make two orders not to get hit with the 30 GBP shipping fee.

I've been curious about The Persuaders, so I'll probably pull the trigger. Thanks for the heads up about making single orders! What's up with that?

The Persuaders is great fun! I have the edition with the Pixley guidebook and have watched it twice over the years. Department S is similarly rewatchable. I’m a vintage ITC enthusiast tho, so might be a little biased.

Shipping has always been based upon weight AFAIK. I just ordered 4 singles and the Space Patrol box and shipping was only £7.

RAISE THE TITANIC is down to its final copies before OOP if anyone wants that edition. It’s a silly movie but the isolated John Barry score/track makes for a fun watch.

Question: Are the future sales on the 1st page known for sure to happen or are they simply likely to happen based on past sales?

Certain titles when combined pushed shipping from ~£7 to £30. No middle ground, I guess? Initially it happened when I had just The Persuaders and The Prisoner in the cart, which I assumed was because they're both multi-disc sets. But then I found a bunch of other titles I wanted and only a couple other combinations pushed it to £30 again. So I ordered The Prisoner plus 4 more BDs -- including a 2-BD -- and shipping remained £7.85. Then another order with The Persuaders and 1 BD for £7.85 shipping as well.

That sounds about right—in that it’s never fully logical with Network. It’s generally been favorable (ie pre-pandemic, £2 for a very heavy book, the oversized Prisoner box, 15+ Single discs, etc). There’s always been two price ranges with an unclear threshold though.

I believe the ~£30 fee will always get you TNT versus Royal Mail for £7. TNT packages tend to arrive roughed up here but the contents have always been in tact. I think of them as a much zanier DHL.

It seems, as with many companies, that they’ve become a little more rigid—the int’l delivery add-on for the recent Deluxe Gerry Anderson boxes for instance.

Some are verified (Kino Lorber for instance) but many are based upon past years. I’ve been considering noting which ones are verified with an asterisk OR at least adding a larger disclaimer at the top.

Is the Network sale very good for the US buyers? Looks like the UK people get much better prices even before the currency is translated to US dollars.

I think I made out great! You might have to try different combos in your cart to get the lower £7.85 shipping rate. Some cause the £30 rate to kick in. Also, VAT will be removed once you enter your US address and checkout. I had to place 2 orders:

Persuaders! (The): The Complete Series [BLU-RAY] £20.04
League of Gentlemen (The) [BLU-RAY] £10.00
Shipping £7.85

Hit & Miss [BLU-RAY] £3.79
Stones in the Park (The) [BLU-RAY] £3.79
Who Killed Teddy Bear [BLU-RAY] £4.34
Bad Timing [BLU-RAY] £7.50
Prisoner (The): The Complete Series [BLU-RAY] £20.58
Shipping £7.85

For example, UK buyers are reporting 22.10 for The Story of Film, and 27.30 for The World at War. But for me it is showing 28.33 and 35.00 for those titles, before converting to US dollars. Still good prices for those? And yeah, I've caught on that I might have to make multiple orders to keep from tripping the shipping threshold.

I think the sale ended 2 hours ago, so probably moot.

oh, ok. The page at Network's site showing 35% off is still up, so I thought the sale was still going on.
