I was able to get the standard release despite the fact BB's site says neither version is available at either location near me. There were three standard versions and a bunch (ten or so) SB's. The SB looks even worse in person.

I didnt buy this steelbook, but I have had the same experience a few times with other steelbooks where a perfect J Card concealed dents and scratches likely received at the factory.

I think they put the wrong burger on the back. It should be the Durward Kirby burger, given all the Jack Rabbit Slims artwork and the $5 milkshake next to it, but it looks like they put the Big Kahuna on it. How could they do that to us? At least we know it's not the Royale with cheese.

Got the steel from Amazon in perfect shape. Great job on the print and the sound as well. Still one of my favorite films.

I think everyone who has seen this movie likely remembers the Big Kahuna burger a little more because of Samuel's scene. Either way anyone in the food industry would be proud of that back artwork. It makes you want a shake and a burger. Even if it is pointing to scenes in the movie.

There are so many things wrong with the back. First, the shake looks strawberry on the back. Mia ordered it Martin and Lewis, which obviously means Vanilla. That shake clearly is pink colored. Then, they put a freaking pack of cigarettes front and center partially blocking the burger and shake. I mean, talk about unappetizing! No offense to those who smoke of course, but I would much rather see a nice sizzling basket of fries.

Back to the burger, some may argue that that is indeed the Durward Kirby burger, but we will never know for sure. Mia never dresses it as she just grabs it straight off the plate and bites in to it... not putting anything on it. The burger shown is fully dressed. All we know is that is not what Mia ate.

Don't get me wrong, I love the steelbook and the artwork overall, but the Paramount art dept got a little sloppy.

Agree, what the hell were they ever thinking? I bet they were thinking let's do a good steel for the next anniversary lol. I do get what they were going for, but they really should have tried to do something a bit more classy on the front.
