13th fell on a Saturday this month but this favorite series was still calling my name late last night.

3 Body Problem (Season 1)

7 hours 27 minutes

It's a pretty faithful adaptation that integrates some stuff from the second book as well. The biggest difference from the book is Westernizing a number of the characters and giving them a bit more personality. I recommended the show this month without having seen it based mostly on how much I enjoyed the book and that my friend who also read and liked the book really enjoyed the show. I'm glad I did because it's a good adaptation of a great sci-fi book. I'm very much looking forward to the other seasons.

The Last Blood (1990) (1st view, 7/10) 90min Just about everything you expect from a Wong Jing film.

Taxi Hunter (1993) (1st view, 5/10) 89min Disappointing. This was surprisingly tame & Ng Man-Tat was at his worst.

The Inspector Wears Skirts (1988) (1st view, 5/10) 95min Ugh. Way too 80s for me. There's 5-10 pretty good minutes here, but even some of that is hurt by the painful & repetitive soundtrack.

Wild Bill Hickok Rides (1942) (1st view, 7/10) 82min It opens with the Great Chicago Fire (Mrs. O'Leary's cow). Some good-time-girls are sitting among the ruins & there is this exchange:

"What are you gonna do, Miss Andrews?"

"Anybody I can."

Rick and Morty - Season 1 (2013-2014) (241m)

I blind bought season one on Blu-ray several years ago and watched it then, but never kept up with the show. I've bought the subsequent seasons here and there when they were cheap. Decided to rewatch season one to refresh myself since it had been years. Standout episodes for me are Lawnmower Dog, Meeseeks, and the one with all the different TV series from different galaxies.

Stellar Creature Feature from the 1950's. Nice to see it in 4K and a great looking steelbook is a must buy for me.
