I saw this title at my local Wal-Mart last night.
It does specify 1080i on the rear cover but I have no idea if it's actually 1080i or if this is a misprint like POTC was.

It's priced decently at only $16.98 Canadian.

[QUOTE=ClaytonMG;1682705]Actually, there is. See most sets don't deinterlace properly. So while they're the same resolution, improper deinterlacing leads to a much poorer picture. Plus, there's a huge bennifit to 24fps playback.

But those 1080i that do?
It annoys me that you can't get a proper answer anywhere, some FAQ's
say there's no diff. and you saying there is.

Well since even 1080p sets don't deinterlace properly, imagine how many 1080i/720p sets don't.

If you take the whole 24fps thing out of the equasion, and if the TV deinterlaces properly, you'd probably not be able to tell the difference. But since most sets do not deinterlace properly, they're not the same...

Exactly my thinking. Has this actually been confirmed to be 1080i and the wrong aspect ratio? Alliance is known for making mistakes on their packaging. They still write region 1 on there for goodness sake.

My local Wal-Mart only had Seven & Traffic too. Only found Requiem at Best Buy for 18.99.

Just kinda soft, plus the film used was a little grainy/cheap-ish.
I was hoping to upgrade my DVD copy... Guess I'll stick with it for a while...

I can confirm the AR is 1.78:1 and it is 1080i, on the plus side... it has a DTS HD-MA track.
