If you print out the price that walmart.com has for the Complete Series..$199.32 and take it into Best Buy and get it price matched. That is the cheapest i've seen it for. I got mine price matched with that price today.

I got it from Best Buy also for $209.99, you saved 10 dollars, which is O.K. By the way, the non sale list price will be $249.99 in the future.

I'd rather just wait for them to ship from DeepDiscount to save a bit of cash, (plus an extra $6+ off to go through Bing.com).

Yep, I just placed my order at Deep Discount for $152, plus another $8 or so off through Bing. Can't beat those prices!

So far a couple of episodes into the actual series in Season One ("Water"). The actual series looks just as good as the mini-series, if not better. However, I really want to shove the person who came up with the packaging for the season sets in the case out an airlock....

I know how the show is supposed to look. Nevertheless, the HD-DVD is pure crap.
I'm going to reserve my judgment until screencap comparisons are posted, hopefully Xylon at AVS will start a thread.

Damn! Didn't see the price change at Deep Discount! I only placed my order yesterday afternoon. Well, it's OOS, so I'll call them up tomorrow and try and get them to honor it at the lower price.

I wondered the same thing. I read that review before I had received the discs, twas a Christmas gift, and honestly expected a marginal improvement over the DVDs. I popped in a disc to check out an episode, "Hand of God," and my jaw dropped. No contest between it and the SD DVDs.

Considering they have a 30day unconditional return policy (as long as the product is unopened), $20 on a $200 product is enough to make me return a product to get a discount. So regardless, you'd think they'd want to honor the price match anyways.

Does anyone know if they will release individual seasons on Blu Ray instead of having to buy the whole set at once?
It would be much easier for me to buy a season at a time in Blu starting with the mini-series and Season one with 33 minutes(a classic episode).

I picked up season 4.5 on Blu today and started back from the first episode of Season 4.0 The difference in sound and picture quality is simply jaw dropping.
Anyone Blind Buying this prepare to be a BSG Junkie from the beginning.

I would think they will hold off a year or so before releasing single seasons from the beginning. Makes more people buy the complete series. Someone on ebay will probably be selling off singles though.

Any word on netflix getting the blu-ray version of this? I went to blockbuster in hopes they had the blu, but they didn't. I got the mini-series anyways and the quality of the picture makes me nauseous. But so far, great show, I'm impressed. I can't lay down 200 right now, but an eventual purchase of the series is a definite (when the price goes down a bit, if it does).

Wait til you get to season 3....the series goes down hill after season 2. I was such a huge fan of it, it broke my heart when they screwed up the last two seasons.

^ A lot of people (including myself) enjoyed all four seasons of the show. So just because you didn't like S3 and S4 doesn't mean other people won't.

Man, that's a nice set, but man that's a hefty price tag. I'll wait for the inevitable amazon super discount price.

hey guys im from province of quebec and i bought battlestar galactica (the serie) in blu-ray and i paid $259.99 + both taxes (tps $13.00) (tvq $20.47) the complete total is $293.46 wow it's a lot of money i know but it's worth it it's a great serie.
my only complaint so far are the small box that contain the disc, those disc are a real ''frak'' to take out of those small box, i wish they would i've use normal blu-ray case to go with the big box. but i guess i will have to live with it...for the moment anyways.
