The star is right over a scar so it looks kinda distorted. That pic was taken right after I got it, so most of the ink on the star isn't the actual tattoo. I just washed it off and it looks a lot better.

Coexist means all religions existing peacefully.

The flag from my avatar on the back of my leg.

Here's a pic after I washed it up:

Wow, I completely butchered what I meant to say. I don't even know how that happened.

What I meant is:

Since there are more people that don't have tats than people that do, isn't it conformist to NOT have a tattoo?

Also, I don't like that "coexist" tattoo, but that might be because I see it on bumper stickers on every other car on campus, so I'm sick of seeing it.

The 'coexist' tattoo is nice; I have a friend with a similar design on his calf. I dont like how the poster above me said that he didnt like it because he sees it on cars and elsewhere. Well, you dont have to like Aaron's tattoo because it's his not yours, but of course the symbol has specific and significant meaning to Aaron. I think you are unfairly cheapening his tattoo by comparing it to bumper stickers.

Anyway, I was surprised to see the quotes in the first page of this thread from 2009 so high. I have two tattoos. One on my left ankle is a horseshoe with clouds shaded behind it and ivy wrapped around it. It is predominantly three colors and about 4 inches wide by 5 inches tall. It cost me $120 about 18 months ago, and I tipped the artist $20. It took about 90 minutes.

My tattoo on my right leg is the two guys shaking hands with the flames and their shadows from my avatar. The shading and layering is much more detailed than my first tattoo; it hurt much worse when I got it too. It's the same size as my first tattoo. It took nearly two hours to do, but the artist spent at least as much time sketching and preparing and planning it out. It cost $140, and I tipped him $40. I'll post pics tomorrow if I get a chance.

I get my tattoos from a place in Atlanta right next to Georgia Tech, not from the trendy Little Five Points neighborhood, and I swear by these guys' artwork and pricing. How much have yall's tattoos run you?

I don't see how I'm "cheapening" his tattoo, I've only seen that design on bumper stickers until now. I personally don't like it. Now don't take that the wrong way, I agree with it, just don't like the design. If it has meaning to him, good.

My tattoo cost me $80.

Hmm, fair enough. I just try hard not to criticize or dislike anyone's tattoo but to appreciate the purpose in it, etc.

Anyway, I just snapped a photo of my tattoos. The one on the right is from September '09 from one of the owners of the shop, and the one on the left is two months old from the other owner.
