That was definitely a cool moment--just Cameron toying with 3D. The underwater floating particulates were fun in extreme negative parallax too, but the best part was just seeing that amazing ship where it lies in strong 3D depth. And then when they overlayed ghost-like actors on top of the wreckage footage, it eerily brought the whole thing to life.

I was also shocked to see
[Show spoiler]the crew's initial reactions to the September 11th terrorist attack, and then the subsequent parallels to the Titanic tragedy. Didn't expect that to be in the movie at all. It really swelled up a lot of emotion.

James Cameron is probably my favorite director of all time.
I liked that one as well. I liked how desperate they were to get that second mini sub that got stuck

I watched the Lorax last night. It has solid 3D depth. Really deep. And the colorful scenes are just stunning

Congrats on ur new 3D tv and Avatar 3D. One of my favorite movies. Can't wait for the next 2 to hit theatres

Last watched Wrath of the Titans. Not 3D demo material but, it had plenty of good moments. Some good depth scenes, and lots of particle and debris floating around and coming out of the screen. I did enjoy it better in 3D, than 2D. The scene with the giant cyclops reminded me, I need to pick up Jack the Giant Slayer

Default Jack 3D

Finally watched it just now and had a blast with the story and 3D!

The story keeps you interested throughout. The CGI giants were not the most realistic, definitely no where close to Hobbit's giants, but fun to watch.

The 3D is mostly good especially for live action, but it seemed a little flat when it came to the CG giants. There is very palpable contract when they switch between live action to CG. Too bad, they could have easily pushed it a bit more (may be I am spoiled with Sammy 2 ). Lets say I enjoyed Hansel & Gretel a bit more as gore had no bounds there as opposed to Jack which is a family movie, so everything is mellowed down!

I watched Turtle's Tale 2 yesterday and, let me tell you, this is a gorgeous 3d animated feature with tons of pop-outs. The story is pretty good as well. I would highly recommend adding this to your collection if you're an avid 3d blu ray collector like me.

Purchased and Watched:

Avatar
The Amazing Spider-man
Top Gun

I finally got my media room up and running with a new 3D projector so I started on a new addiction, 3D movies.

Avatar is just simply amazing at home in 3D. I have never felt so immersed into a movie before.

The Amazing Spider-man was my second 3D movie and wow what a utter disappointment in comparison to the brilliance that is Avatar. I'm glad I didn't spend much on the 3D set since it really doesn't do anything for the viewer in 3D.

Top Gun was an interesting choice for me because I really wanted to see an older movie that was converted to 3D. This was definitely a better experience than Spider-man and there are some really cool scenes in 3D such as inside the cockpit.

I just sold off some of my 2D movies to get ready to buy 3D versions shortly. Next up will probably be Tron since I adore that movie.

I would highly recommend you purchase a copy of A Turtle's Tale 2 3D, since it has just released domestically (much easier to get than the original Sammys Adventure from Hong Kong)... you aren't going to get a stronger 3D movie than that one - it has much stronger 3D than even Avatar, and has just as good as or better 3D than Sammy's Adventure, which has always been the ultimate go-to 3D reference demo disc...

Thank you for the recommendation! My daughter absolutely loves the first one so they are definite purchases in the future.

Watched Toy Story 3 - I thought it was pretty good, good 3d throughout and a good way to end the trilogy

Bought Creature from the Black Lagoon - been wanting to get a copy of this for a while, can't wait to watch it
