I am sure there may have been a post a while back (too many for me to check), but I emailed Eagle Pictures over a week ago about the 4K Blu-Ray being region locked, and FINALLY got a response (This is translated via Google, so I deeply apologize):
"Dear XXXX, we apologize for the inconvenience caused. To address the problem encountered, we are producing a new edition of Killers of the Flower Moon in the 4Kult series. Precise information regarding the release date will follow as soon as possible. We take this opportunity to thank you for the passion and loyalty with which you follow us. We wish you a good evening" |

FINALLY got to this. Def one of Scorsese's quiet films. Still processing it as I initially found it tepid and slow and missed the mark to highlight Osage in more moments. But I liked the techniques that Marty flaunted. It's defined as an epic and to me it's like a Heaven's Gate epic. That's a compliment.

I see all that trademark Scorsese style in heaps, now, and it moves at a thunderous pace. I don't even feel the length anymore. And so many details pop out the more you see it. This is one that rewards multiple viewings. That's one of the reasons I think people will reassess it more positively as time goes on. |

Maybe the AMPAS voters will see what's truly in the heart and soul of America, like they will with Oppenheimer. There should be two winners in every category, or more.

This is a big film like old days, a sweeping epic. I think the opinions on Killers of the Flower Moon have been mixed. I found it to be too long, stretches of boredom and disjointed, but that's just one man's opinion. Also Emma Stone deserves Best Actress for Poor Things. Her performance dwarfs everyone in this category including Lily Gladstone. |

Well, it isn't like either film, The Irishman or Killers of the Flower Moon, NEED any sort of major reassessment, as they've both always been very acclaimed to begin with.
After more than four years, The Irishman STILL holds a solid 95 percent Critics' Score on RT, as well as an 86 percent Audience Score. (It started with a famous 100 percent score with critics). Still holds a 'Universal Acclaim' score on Metacritic, and is still the second highest opening weekend streams ever for a Netflix original movie (behind 'Birdbox'). It is part of the prestigious Criterion Collection. Killers of the Flower Moon still holds a solid 93 percent Critics' score, and an 84 percent audience score. It is still rated 'Universal acclaim' from critics on Metacritic, and has been holding a solid number one spot among Apple original streaming films for more than a month. It will likely end up in the Criterion Collection, one day, as well, if Apple permits. Each film received 10 Academy Award nominations (even if they didn't win anything). So, it isn't like this is a case of films that were considered complete debacles upon release getting reappraised as cult classics later, these films already have solid reputations. (Few films please everyone and have perfect scores; even Oppenheimer is only a 93 percent critics' score on RT; it ties with Killers with critics' scores). I just expect that people who haven't even seen these films, yet, or maybe had mixed reactions at first may reassess them more positively over years. |

On Sunday was at Film Independent talk with Lily Gladstone and she talked about her career as a whole and then talked about Killers at the end.
She was supposed to be in more episodes of Billions but when it came time to film she was cast in Killers and the writers wrote her out. But the episode she was supposed to be in included a joke about the length of The Irishman. She mentioned that the way the script originally went. Molly was supposed to be in the living room after the explosion. But everyone felt that didn't feel right and the basement was suggested as an alternative and they changed the blocking. Then she talked about the scream was the first take and the original plan was to go in for closeups but Marty changed that and they did a second take but the first one is the one that ended up on screen. Lily and the sisters improvised the dialogue of the four of them talking together. The Osage dialect coaches had trouble translating a line about the Devil, so they changed it to reference the coyote story. She also gave some more stuff about the real people and the kids and nieces. |

Scorsese’s initial screenplay, co-written with Eric Roth, “had only three scenes between Ernest and Mollie. It was focused so heavily on the FBI,” Gladstone said. In other words, the White saviors. “It made me suspect Mollie was a very tertiary character. It was upsetting.”
Leo was supposed to be the FBI chief. Brief it's a collaborative effort film; Scorsese directed it. The subject matter is important, as Napoleon was. |

I honestly feel much more unjust about Paul Giamatti losing in his beautiful, funny, moving, and heartfeltt performance in "The Holdovers", to Cillian Murphy's impression of a staring mannequin in the vastly overrated, "Oppenheimer". |
