It is going to be hard to have new releases come out and shipped by end of October. Some people are still wanting his latest releases. I think he was talking about opening store soon so I am guessing he is back where his storage is. He couldn't sell some titles because he had no copies on him, which might also be why diabolikdvd seems to be running out of various titles. He would basically have to have them finished and ready within a week. I don't think anything has been mentioned if any releases have even been sent off to be pressed. Last we have heard was some of the Italian? releases planned for October were delayed

If the Murder Rock "butt poster" can't be used, I'd much prefer seeing this one above the other options.

Not as a reversible, just do the one cover. Honestly, that Demon Is Loose shit is abominable.

I believe Bill did say the Italian ones have been delayed. These are the ones Walt said were likely releases for Oct/early Nov:

SLAUGHTERHOUSE ROCK
BEYOND THE DOOR
HIDE AND GO SHRIEK
SCHOOLGIRLS IN CHAINS
HAPPY HELL NIGHT
MIND RIPPER

kind of hard to release more stuff as income of selling is paying the pressing plant. movies like ASSAULT ON PARADISE (BD-50/reversible cover) couldn;t cut the mustard

Have to give props to that one. I got to see Carpenter Brut live last night (they were opening for Ghost). Not only was it a great show (enough for me to run back to the merch booth and grab a shirt), but they were playing their videos on a screen behind them, which was quite cool.

I think it says a lot about me that I was recognizing the movies they had edited for their videos.

Only reason I bring it up is because I was browsing Diabolik and decided to take a look at code red section and noticed almost none of your recent 8-10 titles available. Since your last bundle I think you have had your store open for a total of 1-2 days each and you opened it twice.

I mention the October releases because people seem to keep asking if something will be out next month. We just had a large amount of titles in the past couple months released and they need to relax a little. Be patient and let Bill work on getting a quality release done instead of rushing it out. Waiting another couple months can't be that painful.

If he opens the store on Friday, I don't get paid until Monday. I doubt he'll keep it open for 3-4 days. Oh well, will just have to wait until the time after

I'll thank him when I don't get a copy.
there's no reason anyone needs more than 2 copies of any title at most.
screw those other people

You'll see them on Ebay and Amazon, for extremely high prices soon. Sometimes, you see movies like The Blob (1988) and Fright Night (1985) on Ebay for high prices, before they even sell out! These people know, that a lot of fans don't do research, so they take advantage.

I always research, and search out the best price.

As someone who is in it for the love of the movies and who has never tried to capitalize on a limited release, that stuff pisses me off so much. I also hate when I see people picking up super limited stuff just to have in their collection or because they like the cover when they admit that they don't care for the movie...

I wouldn't worry about it. From the way things sound you could use all the sales you can get and if others are reselling them at places you normally don't then it will help more people get your releases.

Well, it is Hawaii, could be a group buy thing or he runs a media store (which would make it not very different than Diabolik). I can't imagine shipping there is particularly cheap so it's more economical to do larger buys. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, but who knows, I haven't checked eBay for any Code Red titles being shipped out of Hawaii lately.

I have been working like a dog this week and haven't been able to stay current on this forum. Is a release of Murder Rock imminent? What about Opera?

Well...

...the only reason Code Red releases get scalped is because people will buy them. And the only reason people buy scalped titles is because they can't buy them through normal chennels. DiabolikDVD doesn't have stock, Bill doesn't ship internationally and Bill's store isn't open. This essentially creates the market for scalping Code Red releases.

Have you looked into signing up for Paypal's "Pay After Delivery" service? You can purchase something with your bank account and Paypal will debit the charge two weeks after you buy the item.

That way you can grab the things you want when they're available and not have to miss anything because of a limited window of availability.

So I ordered MUTANT and THE FOREST on September 14th, got a shipping notification on the the 22nd...and still don't have the discs.

Is there a delay in shipping? Anyone else experiencing this problem?

I get it's a one man operation essentially, but some communication would be nice...

Anyone else had this problem in the past? Normally when I order a title, it ships pretty much right away and I receive it within a few days - and that's after a new release batch - so I'm starting to get concerned.
