Good luck with it. A little side note, some unsolicited advice.... Remember to make use of the child psychologists they provide for assistance. I've known people who adopted and the ones who made use of the child psychologists and were very careful to evaluate children, even very young children, ended up with very good matches, children that fit with them and, more importantly, children who would genuinely benefit from having them, specifically them, as parents, over any other parents. The people who didn't either ended up with kids who are a bit of a problem from their inability to connect with such incompatible parents, kids who are a bit of problem because they are just not the right kind of parents for those kids, really being too different, or, in the worst case, with a child who was a habitual criminal, already, at adoption. They thought they could "fix" him, as though they could undo all that he learned from his biological parents, who had him until he was ten. He loved his original parents, profoundly, and never abandoned their way of life.

In most cases, any good parent can parent any good child and almost all children are good, even at thirteen when they are driving everyone crazy. However, children, like adults, all have different learning and loving styles. They benefit from one type of learning communication or one type of showing of love to a much greater degree than all of the others. This is where a child psychologist can help with matching you with your prospective children.

Also, fostering is just wonderful and I congratulate you on making that decision. It gives you time to see if you fit and see how much of a difference you can make in their life and how much they can make in your life. That is a beautiful and needed thing and, again, I wish you luck with it.

Isn't it interesting how people say malls are dead? They didn't want to do a follow up to Mallrats, even though KS was interested, because "Malls are dead". They're not dead. Everyone I know, from teens to people in old-age homes, still venture out to the mall at least once a month.

Enjoy that mall, when you get there. There is still something quite wonderful about the old brick-and-mortar, non-Amazon experience of life.

I haven't yet but I will. I might just stick with a mall to drive to with free parking even if it is further. The should still do a sequal just for us old people who grew up with Jay and Silent Bob.

I have never worked retail. Hearing stories about it makes me want to jump in and get a job at a grocery store or something. Is it worth it? Do jobs like that usually have benefits?

where i work, even part-time employees get benefits (health/dental/vision insurance, 401k); but it's not like that in every retail position. most places you have to be full-time to get benefits.

Three more sleeps until I’m with my Woman and my FurBrats.
I love when I go pick up my dogs and they’re so super excited and maul on me.

Honestly i think everyone should work in retail at least once in their life, just to understand some of the BS they have to go through on a day to day basis. That said IF I were to go back today, I'd insist on a stocker/receiving position over customer service. I simply don't have the patience for whiny customers , if a customer came up to me asking for help with something I'd tell them to **** off plain & simple. Probably why I was fired from walmart back in the day... I refused to act happy around people when I obviously wasn't.

And that’s why retail isn’t for anyone. I’ve done customer service/retail a long time and even I’ve lost my shit when I was younger. I once got fired from a store because a customer on the phone overheard my heated rant about them when I was in the back and it “frightened” her.

Seriously lady!! You kept calling the store while that department lead was on lunch hoping to get a different person or answer when I ask you to call back in an hour as I’m covering 2 departments and a cashier’s lunch

Wondering if I’ll be able to knock out the rest of my deer event reset today? We’re technically not supposed to be doing projects, but unless he got a truck of feed today, he has enough front loaders to cover the store. Hate the way the clearance wall looks, and I have to go through that sometime.

OT: I just about to my 90 days with the store and wondering if I should contact the district manager to discuss my future with the company. I’m also wondering what furniture I can afford to get before I move into my new place. I’d love a hide a bed couch or futon since it is only a studio, but most of my next check is going towards my first month’s rent and I need gas money and food too

I imagine it's mostly the part that centers on pleasure and fantasizing. I would imagine the main part of the man that women stimulate would be the sexual organs.

Not necessarily. I go nuts with bellybuttons and, um, teeth
I consider both of these super sexy. In addition to the usual parts, of course

Oddly, while reading the discussion of women and the need for more attractive women and the like (lovely discussion guys), my mind kept falling back to this:

https://smile.amazon.com/Mortuary-Ma.../dp/B08129239W

It may be the two gloriously attractive lead females that bring it to mind during such a discussion or, perhaps, it was just lurking in my mind.

Mortuary finally pops up with an HD digital copy, after years and years. Yes, of course, I paid the 9.99 and turned it on immediately, as I am too lazy to go fetch the blu, given how many surround it and how few are alphabetized. But, here's the kicker: It is a Multicom title.

MULTICOM!

It was Walt's and now, after years of asking the man for a digital version, the rights are with Multicom and, suddenly, I get a digital version. I feel a little guilty because I just gave the lion's share of $10 to Multicom, not Walt. Why the heck do I care? I wanted a digital version. They gave me a digital version. I should be thrilled, not feeling guilty about Scorpion not getting my money.

I care too much about the individual successes of label owners and, so, today, I am going to start caring about Multicom, a company that has 4K scans of films and then forces people to release SD or HD versions when they want to use that 4K scan. I am going to care because they gave me one of my favourite Paxtons, in HD digital.

Now, if only they'd put up that 4K scan of Berserker. Then I would really love them.

Mortuary isn't the type of film I'd recommend as a blind buy but if it's available to stream for a good price I'd say go for it. Personally, I love the film. Saw it as a double feature with, I think, The Gates of Hell, when I was about 12 and loved it then and still love it. It's an unusual little horror film, not as gory or intense as the trailer suggested (lol) - actually, the film has a bit of a TV movie feel to it, at times, but I enjoy the atmosphere and antics of Bill Paxton - who, as we all know, later went on to become a (sort of) an A-list star. It's a fun little flick!

dead in what sense? You can be very well dead and be very much alive.

I feel philosophical atm or rather no self respecting philosopher would use shorthand for at the moment in which case I feel casually all about it
