Life of Pi Pre-Purchase case is missing because I used it to put the DVD copy of Monsters, Inc. in so I could give it to my sister.



This is my first pre-purchase. For those who have done it already, how was the experience? Did it arrive on release day, or later? And did it come with the slipcover?

Glad to help. Apparently the Canadian release has some deleted scenes and a gag reel that the American release didn't include. The review for the American release didn't say anything about deleted scenes or a gag reel so that's why I think that it must be exclusive.

WM preorder is pretty solid. Got my GOT preorder the day after but I'm sure if I would have checked the mail the day before it was probably there. Came in a silver envelope but surprisingly it came in good condition.

The Korean blu-ray has the best video quality.
This is how the quality goes for the three different English-subtitled versions:

Korean version is uncut with the best video quality (golden colors)
HK version is cut with excellent video quality (dull overcast colors)
UK version is cut with good video quality (dull overcast colors)


You can buy the bluray at yesasia.com or on ebay - total price including shipping should run around 40 bucks.
