Allright...so I have both of the 2 BB exclusive steelbooks that came out in like June or something...but i dont know if I should sell them to get the Trilogy for $30...or just buy the other steelbook. Im not really into steelbooks (theyre the only two I have) so...what do you think?

Well you should send IMDB a press release about that because it looks like they have about 50 times more over 18 males enjoying Dark Knight than anyone under 18.

Here's the deal, I'm right- and you are wrong on many levels.
I'd accuse you of being pretentious- but you have tube amps, so you are already there.

Uh, that would be ... yes, a collector! Look, I buy one version because that's all I can afford - but I don't knock other people who get their rocks off differently. So, the real question is : what kind of a loser goes to a site for movie freaks to knock someone for being a movie freak? The answer : don't be that kind of loser.

P.S. That was before I saw the "whited out" part of your post.

If someone has so much disposable income to buy 5 versions of the same movie, I'm not sure how much of a "loser" they can be....

I think he was poking fun at himself with the whited out "ME".

Seriously I can only wish that my favorite movie of all time, Escape From New York got 5 different versions(regular, steelbook, digibook, Snake action figure, and lenticular slip)

I preordered the steelbook, going to have BB mail it to me. I am in no real rush as there are TONS of great catelog movies for me to get through until late Dec (ET, Indy, Bond...I am soooo behind...). If you have the Steelbooks of the other two and want to complete your set (and if you have any OCD at all...) you are going to want to wait the week. Besides, I am assuming you have seen the movie before and really, the ending isn't going to change because you got it a week earlier. Wait and get the steelbook. However, if you don't like Steelbooks and your copies of BB and TDK are regular cases, get it a week early.

IMO, the movie isn't that great anyway, and the hype for it is more fun than the movie itself, so if I were you I would wait the week and join us on the forum until release date. Guys here have a way of making you excited for a movie that well...isn't very exciting... The hype is sometimes better than the movie and it might make waiting fun. That is just opinion though.

The first-gen Sony 4K TV's are currently selling for around $30,000 - so you have time to save up for all those New Ultimate Ultra HD! discs we'll all be drooling over ("Is it worth the upgrade from the "Ultimate Collector's Edition" I bought two years ago? Is Ultra Dolby any better than DTS-HD MA?"). Please, just shoot me now - or else send in the clowns to buy all of my "old" Blu-rays."

I think by the time 4K takes off, internet speeds (and capacity limits) will allow us to cut our ties with physical media. It'll all be streaming or on our hard drives, at 4K resolution.

Hollywood are not happy with 4K physical media. They want to control their 4K masters. I really don't think they want 4K masters streaming or on hard drives.

Highly doubtful. I think the adoption rate of Ultra HD will spread much faster than the overhaul needed to upgrade the existing network infrastructure to handle Ultra HD. Plus caps will only get more restrictive, not less....someone has to pay for that overhaul.
