From the Code Red DVD Facebook page:

"Another DVD label and the rights owner of Horror film received a registered letter from German high court over the sale of that horror film (BLU) to one German individual, as the movie was BANNED in Germany in 1982. DVD Label never sold this Blu to this man nor did USA DVD LABEL have German rights. Most likely this person bought it off Amazon or some other site and the German high court is pointing their finger to a US DVD label and its rights owner who has nothing to do with this. This could be a sick prank by another DVD label, but using the German court as a joke isn't funny. CODE RED’s lawyer strongly warns that any film BANNED in any country should not be shipped outside of the USA/CANADA, which means any Video Nasty film that was ever BANNED will no longer be shipped outside of North America. Sorry for this, but one rotten apple killed the spreading of exploitation movies across the world. This also means I can not sell these horror film 3rd party sellers."

Fuuuuuuuuuuuck apparently this was referring to Nightmare

Well, there goes international shipping on the blu, as well as Diabolik and Amazon 3rd Party. Guess I'll need an American contact now as that was one I really wanted

He should only limit the shipping to UK and Germany (which are 2 countries well known for their movie censorships when it comes to age restriction)
It's a really easy thing to do!

I live in France and I don't see why I would be impacted by any german laws.
Nightmare wasn't banned in my country, nor the others new releases, so it really sucks!!!!

What exactly is he afraid of? German laws don't apply in the US.
When I order a movie that is banned in Germany and it falls into the hands of our customs, it gets confiscated, that's all.

Anybody else get an incorrect order and still waiting on him to fix it? I ordered 1 other time from him and had no issues.

My recent order is another matter. I only received 3 of the 4 Blu's I ordered back on April 30th. I emailed him about the issue and he said he was sorry and would mail it asap. Emailed him a week later, he said he sent it out. Contacted him again 4 days later to inquire about a tracking number. He just said he would send it asap. Contacted him again to ask for a tracking number, he just says he sent the package and I should receive it soon.

If he would just send a tracking number, I wouldn't have to keep emailing him. He is almost impossible to deal with as far as getting a reasonable response. He replies in short non-sentences and doesn't address the issue at hand. I am a patient person, but over 2 weeks to correct a problem is unacceptable. The real test of a company is not if they make a mistake, but WHEN they make a mistake, how they go about correcting it.

My order of Savage Streets from April 4th still hasn't shown up. He didn't have time to give me a tracking number last week, so he said he would send another copy by May 12th. Of course, no tracking provided. If it doesn't show up by Saturday, May 17th, I'm filing a claim with PayPal.

There are people winning auctions from him on eBay and receiving their items 2-3 days later. People in the UK that ordered after me already have their shipment. It's been over 40 days since I ordered.

I realize he's a one-man operation, but when you run a business of any size, you need to be able to address customer concerns in a timely manner. Maybe it's time he brings on some help. Like Blu2U said above, if he would just provide tracking numbers, it would help a lot.

I'll update if my order ever arrives. I just want a tracking number so I know he actually mailed the movie. And he wonders why people do chargebacks. I hope when the Scorpion titles go live, that there is someone else to take care of orders.

Dammit! I really wanted Nightmare too. Wasn't that released in the UK uncut on DVD as part of Box of the Banned? Maybe it was still slightly trimmed but I don't remember it being.

This really, really sucks.

Yes it was in the Box of the Banned in cut form.

As for Nightmare in Australia, it was released by Video Classics Gold in 1985 and it was withdrawn and banned by the censors.
The Video Classics Gold release has since become very collectable. It, and the early 80s Dutch Video for Pleasure release, contain the most complete versions of NIGHTMARE available on tape. Both include a dialog scene that is not present in any other version. The Australian tape is the more desirable as it looses the Dutch subtitles.

In 1987, Palace Home Video re-titled NIGHTMARE to SCHIZO, and received an R-rating from the Censorship Board. This particular release was very heavily cut, and ran only 89:03. In comparison, the Video Classics Gold tape ran 99:24.

I still have pristine copies of both these tapes.

Shit, so does that mean Nightmare is still banned here?

Ah well, so is Nailgun Massacre, and if that shows up, which hopefully it should soon, then it'll show our customs don't care.

One way or another, I am getting my hands on the Nightmare Blu Ray

Well this really sucks, especially since I don't think UK customs really care all that much.
