Alonzo Highsmith is their backup, an undersized dual threat sophomore quarterback. But he has less than 10 minutes playing time in his whole career. If Jacory Harris could ever learn the art of limiting his mistakes, he'd be one of the best in the country. He has a cannon for an arm, but he makes boneheaded decisions at the worst possible time.

Every year OSU has a game where they play down to the level of their competition and it looks like this is this year's game. Pryor is hurt and going to the locker room so if it's serious OSU could be in trouble.

Quick two part Big 10 question for fatediesel:

A) How many wins does Zook need to save his job?
B) When he's fired, how much is Illinois going to open up their wallet so they can become relevant again? I always liked Illinois and would love for them to get back to being a respectable football team.

Not sure why he keeps getting new jobs, it's clear the guy has no idea how to properly run a college program. Maybe they should give him the NMSU job, not like he could make them any worse.

Funny thing is his recruiting classes always seem to be highly ranked. At Florida especially his classes were always very highly touted. The guy can recruit, he just can't coach or develop players. Heck, a lot of the players from Florida's 2006 national championship team were Ron Zook recruits who underachieved with Zook and developed into champions under Meyer.

I remember several years ago he hauled in a pretty impressive recruiting class for the Illini. Unfortunately for him many of those players did not develop properly and they are back in the basement of the Big 10.

I believe they've been ranked higher than Boise State since the first polls of the season.

lol OSU lost to a butt sauce USC team last year, then a god awful Purdue team yet move up the rankings for this year flawed logic at it's finest and more flawed then even Boise because at least they win.

Ohio St. always manages to get a cushy higher ranking then they deserve. Not to worry, I seriously doubt they run the table with games @Wisconsin and @Iowa. In fact is wouldn't surprise me if they drop a game to one of the garbage unranked Big 10 schools. They looked pretty bad today against a very mediocre Illinois team.
